Romancing the Spirit Series:
Sadie's Spirit #1 - If you loved that movie with Reese and Mark, you will enjoy this story. A spirit set with a sense of humor and a regret for throwing away the love of her life because she thought he was tetched in the head. Well, after what happened to her, she learned a few things. Good storylines and good characters made this quickly read book hard to put down. While a murder occurred, the story has a lot of humor and hope. The author has talent for storytelling. 4*
Willow's Windfall #2 - A delightful, too soon ending, romantic story with a bit of intrigue, danger and discovery. Two wonderful characters, several baddies and a 300-year-old pirate, along with the true meaning of treasure, make this fun read hard to put down. Sappy, but I love it! 5*
Cassie's Chase #3 - A darker story, especially following Willow's but with light parts. Good storylines, both sad and happy, with a wonderful surprise near the end. Good characters and a well done sweet romance. 4*
Phoebe's Pharoah #4 - This is an OK story but I did not care for it. Good characters but I found some of the happenings false. I'm not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Vanessa's Valentine #5 - Shame this story is set in Texas since it is obvious the author is unfamiliar with Texas. Some of the dialogue is off and cleaning the car so quickly of blood; must have been specks. I did not care for this story. The writing style is a bit choppy, not smooth and I'm not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Autumn's Angel #6 - This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. Plenty of humor that fits well with the storylines. Good characters and dialog that keeps the reader interested. I like Joy and the way she was done. Devlin is also well done. A quickly read and entertaining read. 4*
Allison's Alibi #8 - This is a fun series to read. Yes, there murders and suspicions and investigations but there's humor and romance. Cash is great in his role and Alison's father is perfect in his role. The storylines are interesting and I did not put the book down until the last page. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Gracelynn's Genie #9 - I love this story! I have read three others of this series, but this is my favorite, so far. All three characters are fun to be with and Constance is my favorite. Her sense of humor and caring heart just endear her to the reader. This is a quickly read but entertaining, interesting novella. The storylines, the characters and the dialogues are just easy to get lost in and too soon the story ends. Finishing the story leaves the reader in a feel good, happy state. I found this book on Booksprout. 5*

Nice Collection of Offbeat Paranormal Romances
The title says novella and is that ever right! There are six books in this collection, and the anthology weighs in at just over 700 pages. That means that each novella is only a little over 100 pages on average. But the first novella, which I thoroughly enjoyed, actually took up nearly 20% of the book! So, that made the rest of the novellas pretty short, allowing them to be easily read in a short amount of time. As in any anthology, the story quality seemed variable, though I did enjoy all to some extent. The author has a great way of injecting humor into a story, even when the subject is at times serious. As suggested by the series title, all of these have either a touch of the paranormal or are fully vested in it. We have a ghost love story, there is a medium story, and there are even two stories that revolve around governmental agencies (the FBI and DEA) with a little witness protection and drug smuggling to make it interesting. I found myself particularly charmed by the first story, which has one of the best first lines I've seen lately: “A person can only die once, and Sadie had met her quota for the day.” It made me laugh and wonder what else the author had in store for me. If you enjoy paranormal romances—especially a variety of types—you may very well enjoy this series.

This probably my favorite collection of stories ever. Each one had that paranormal romance element with mystery. I loved each one and I can't pick a favorite. As the stories went along I thought the current was my favorite but then they would be replaced by the new couple. There is so much suspense and action and mystery. We have a story about an ex girlfriend seeking help from the man she never got over. Another about a treasure hunt. And another about helping an ancient Egyptian. That's just to give a clue on a few. And this narrator did a great job with all the characters and she didn't make me feel like it was the same story. Each character was different. I loved this book so much I am ordering it in print. I have to have it on my shelf. Must read/listen for paranormal romance mystery fans!

Hours of entertaining reading.
This collection was so bloody hard to put down the pieces were outstanding. I refuse to choose one of the adventures over the other because they were so unique and wonderful. I loved the characters and how the author gave the reader tales of romance mixed with danger was truly marvelous. The author also added humor into her tales and the interaction between the characters made for hours of entertaining reading. I highly recommend this collection I think you will love it as much as I did. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I have read some of the individual novellas in this box set but I don't know what is it, that they are much better read together. They're stand alone but with that spirit theme all throughout that I had a hard time putting this down. I love being able to continue without stopping. Each story is different but with some suspense, the supernatural and love.

February 24, 2022Upon receiving a complimentary copy of Romancing the spirit by CB Samet via Voracious Readers only I found the series Romancing the spirit a very well written series of short stories. I don't usually read short stories but I found once I started each story I was pulled in and wanted to continue to find out what happened. The authors style of writing was adventurous and kept the story moving along at a nice pace. I would not hesitate to read more books by this author CB Samet.

Romancing the Spirit Series, Novella Collection 1-6 by CB Samet is a very amazing box set that I have read. I can not wait to see what this author will write next. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about romantic supense, contemporary and paranormal romances.

I believe in things you can't see, I also believe in ghosts. These short stories are about the interactions between people who see ghosts and thereby help others. And in Willow's story, a ghost helps her find love.

Great story lines and characters, Awesome !! Loved this boxset. The storylines were so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the stories. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this boxset to anyone looking for great reads. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!

This is an amazing Boxed Set. I love this Series. Each story has romance, suspense, and intrigue. This is a captivating series of paranormal romantic suspense novellas. Jennie Neville did a fantastic job with the narration. I enjoyed it and I highly recommend it.

A wonderful group of novellas. Well built characters that I felt like I knew and could relate to quickly drew me in. The perfect “end of the day escape” blending paranormal, romance and suspense. Can’t wait to read more from the author!

I've read several books written by CB Samet; she has done a great job at writing a good collection of books; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story lines caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
