This is a very interesting book dealing as it does not with just organised festivals of all sorts but also natural events such as the Cow Ball in Slovenia and the Red Crab Migration on Christmas Island. Where the book falls down, and this is really my only criticism, is that these free events cost a small fortune to get to to experience!! However that's the charm of books like this in that you can see things that you wouldn't normally see and it would be an invaluable tool in planning a holiday if you wanted to experience some of these events. Let's face it nobody is going to be able to experience everything - time if not money would preclude that but it's good to be able to see what is available in our world.
Thoroughly recommended
