An excellent edition to the edited volumes on the state of interpersonal communication research. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories crafted by the scholars. The freedom in structure and style allowed contributors to share the story of their research program, staying true to their scholarly identities. The chapters overall did a great job connecting older perspectives with new theorizing, indicating a rich next decade of research in interpersonal communication.
