This field guide contains all the relevant information for identifying a Michigan turtle or lizard, but it could use some updates in its photos, some editing of the text, and new typesetting. It would also make for a worthy reference if it included all reptiles and amphibians of the state (snakes, frogs, toads, salamanders, etc.) in one edition, but there are other books available (I would suggest J. Alan Holman's The Amphibians and Reptiles of Michigan: A Quaternary and Recent Faunal Adventure). I did enjoy reading some of the tidbits of the particular species that might be unknown to a layperson.
