I first read this in 1969, even though I was still in High School (Class 1970). It helped me understand not just the rules but also why things are as the are, and when it's appropriate to break the rules. Today in 2024, it's still on my bookshelf close at hand.

I understand how publishers will update editions, even so, I believe there is some date confusion in this Goodreads database.
