Joy Garcia, born in 1986, is a children's book author and illustrator. She is a military spouse of 14 years and a mother to her two children. Joy was born in California and grew up there. Since then, she has moved from Ohio to Texas and currently resides in Florida.

This would be a great book for children with a parent or parents who are deployed. It shows how hard it is for each of them but also the wonderful feeling of having them back home again.
