Jackson has always been the brother in the background, but when his mate is threatened, he rises to the occasion. When a phone call sends Jackson to Las Vegas to check on his brother, he’s not overly surprised to find Max gone. Jackson’s big surprise is waking up with a gorgeous naked Vegas showgirl on top of him. Dani can’t believe the hot, hung stud in bed with her isn’t her soon-to-be-ex fiancé, Max. But soon the truth appears. They might look alike but Jackson’s quiet strength is polar opposite to his playboy brother. It appears she’s been sleeping with the wrong brother all this time… When Reign, a Cat Shapeshifter, shows up needing Dani’s help to trap a killer, Jackson’s protective instincts kick in. The Cat community is dangerous to outsiders. To guard Dani, Jackson must become Reign’s lover. Though he’s never been with another man, Jackson will do whatever it takes to protect his mate. Publisher Sequel to Maxwell’s Fall. Though it is not necessary to read that book first, a richer reading experience will be found by reading both volumes together. And do you really want to miss out on Max’s story?
Tielle (pronounced "teal") St. Clare has had life-long love of romance novels. She began reading romances in the 7th grade when she discovered Victoria Holt novels and began writing romances at the age of 16 (during Trigonometry, if the truth be told). During her senior year in high school, the class dressed up as what they would be in twenty years-Tielle dressed as a romance writer.
When not writing romances, Tielle has worked in public relations and video production for the past 20 years. Tielle moved to Alaska when she was seven years old in 1972 when her father was transferred with the military.
Tielle believes romances should be hot and sexy with a great story and fun characters.
I'm not going to give this book a rating. Just mark it as read. I couldn't finish it. Not because it's bad...the writing is very good. But I guess I'm enjoying heavily erotic books less and less. I need more story in my erotica. Some sex scenes are good and preferred. But I just don't enjoy anymore when the majority of the book is sex scenes.
Alaskan wolf twin, Vegas show girl, and the Cop-py cat
A decent MMF shifter threeway Romantica short,semi-steamy story with some character and plot framing the heat. It builds directly on the previous entry in the series, this time exploring Jackson going to Vegas to meet up (and feel the mate attraction pull from) his Twin Max's Ex and a Buddy. Heavy on heat, light on character and relationship development, but a decent MMF paranormal read.
This was one scorching read. There was a story but the book was mostly about the sex, sex, sex!!! A cat who’s a cop, a wolf who’s an account and a Vegas showgirl, strange huh but it worked. My favorite part was the initiation of Jax to anal sex. It was funny and tender and beyond hot. This was not a short story but the ending was. I was lead to believe that there was a Happily Ever After but that’s just me. It didn’t really spell it out that way in the story. Maybe there is a reunion book in the works. I enjoy this authors writing style and will continue to add her books to my library because she delivers constant enjoyment.
I love Jax! He's more beta than his twin, but that just made me like his book more. When he does get all alpha-y it's even sexier. And I liked that we got to see the interactions between different shifters. I have reread this one at least 15x
