Stray kitten Kitty faces fears and uncertainty when humans rescue him from a life in the wild. He is placed in a new home with the grumpy house cat Taz, but as often happens with adoptive families, acceptance doesn’t happen quickly. When Taz is taken to a cattery, Kitty sets out on a dangerous journey to rescue him, with the hope of winning Taz’s approval. He is helped by the local, feared black cat Mr Black, and his best friend Biskitt, the female cat who lives next door.
Wherever Kitty goes he is mistaken for a female cat, but Kitty doesn’t care if he’s male or female, he just wants to be a cat.
The journey to find Taz forces Kitty to overcome his greatest fears, but more importantly, Kitty learns to become the cat he wants to be.
This book is included in the Catalog of Diverse Kids Books, in which, as a cat mom, I added to my list to read. It was a cute story about an orange tabby, personally my favorite types of cats, and how he experienced the world around him. He wasn't as brave as other cats and his mum took care of him until she believed he would be better in a home with a human. Kitty goes through a lot of change, including his name being changed and meeting other cats along the way, some friends and some not friends for the right reason. A cute children's book to teach multiple lessons through the perspective of a feline.
Kept us all wanting to here what happens next and it was easy to picture in your mind.and easy to understand and remember and the cat looked like my cat .I loved that I put my cats in the story in my mind .
