PACKED WITH CONTENT…

THE ALCHOLOMETER
According to medical experts, if you drank around half a pint of 100% undiluted alcohol you would almost certainly die. Armed with that information, would you do that? Of course you wouldn’t… or would you? The Alcoholometer is a definitive guide to calculate how much neat or pure alcohol you are drinking.

THE HOW SAUCY ARE YOU? TEST
The How Saucy Are You Test? measures how potentially ‘out of control’ your relationship is with alcohol and gives you a score between 0 and 100%.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS
On the surface, this book is about stopping drinking. But it’s much bigger than that. It’s about how you can change your beliefs, learn to believe in yourself, and achieve anything you want to do through a few simple changes. The answer is already in your mind. You just need to discover where to find it.

THE MIRAGE OF MODERATION
The ability to moderate alcohol consumption for those that have had or have issues with alcohol control is a delusion and part of the alcohol narrative and indoctrination. The author calls this the ‘Mirage of Moderation’.

heart warming, honest and truly Nigel

I’ve known Nigel since we met in Singapore in 1996/7 when he swept my primary school friend off her feet in a pub on Boat Quay.
Some 20 years later he proudly showed me with justification his home bar in Kent; always creative and socially focused.

What I hadn’t realized was the extent to which alcohol played a role in his life outside the times I saw him with my dear friend from primary school, now his wife.

And so I have enjoyed this book immensely as I have watched his journey from near and afar, and had also decided to quit poisoning myself in 2019 but with so much less structure and analysis.

This book is a great read whether one knows Nigel or not, but by the end the reader will feel grateful to this man for sharing with humility and openness his learnings about one of societies great sources of ill health and his encouragement to embrace the best in you.

Alas 9kmby9am doesn’t fit my schedule of school runs, but Nigel makes a wonderful invitation to us all to set goals which demonstrate to ourselves our Optimus prime state; alcohol free.

Cheers.

Walking back to happiness - speaks my language – no nonsense , straight talking
many of the things I say to our tribe members every day, you say in the book - in some places I can hear myself saying some of the things you have written- weird !!
I really like the structure of the book
And the tasks lists
I feel this book should be read and action taken, by everyone who wants to be Alcohol free
I believe that for those who have tried before, with this book they will start at the top of the mountain because of all of their experience of trying to stop in the past.
Those who have reached the “I am done” point will certainly find the early days much easier with this book as a guide

I absolutely loved this book, up there with one of the best books I’ve read ever! It really resonated with me and I’ve been actively doing these things anyway but it encouraged me to continue. Highly recommend for all those who are on an Alcohol Free journey.
