Twenty-three-year-old college student Alexa Michaels is too young—and too pretty—to be right for the job. Yet his daughter is coming out of her shell and learning. I liked this book, but I just didn't really feel that much for the main characters.

I really liked this book until the last chapter. I was so disappointed with the ending that I would almost like to give it 2 stars but I liked the rest of the book too much to give it that low of a rating.
The book needs a better editor as well. There were multiple errors. A few times Alexa was written as Alex and there were a few grammar problems as well. For loving English and grammar as much as Alexa claimed, there were instances where she used very improper grammar. Proper language and editing is a pet peeve of mine in novels. Along the same lines, the illustration on the front cover that is meant to depict Ian's daughter, Janna, leads you to believe that this book is about a child younger than 10 going on 11.

A father's love will do anything for his daughter. A glimpse on homeschooling kids and separation anxiety on children, even though its fiction. A good read!

Quick vacation read that was enjoyable and spoke to the issues of how we try and control others without realizing it, forgiveness between a father and daughter, and the breakup of a marriage.

I loved this book! I love that FINALLY we see a Love Inspired book (and series) that centers around homeschooling. In this story Alexa a 23 year old college student and tutor comes to work for Ian (36 year old single dad) to help homeschool his 10 year old daughter. The arrangement is only meant for a few months, but those months are life changing. Alexa is struggling with a severed relationship with her father, and Ian and his daughter Jana are struggling with his exwife/ her mom abandoning them. The new homeschooling arrangement works out to be the answer to all for their struggles as they the cry, pray and fight through those feelings together. And no matter how they try to fight it Ian and Alexa are starting to fall for each other. As their time together comes to a close they are all left grappling with where to go from there. Alexa is soon going to be leaving to teach in another country, and all of a sudden Jana's mom is wanting to come back into her life. They soon have life changing decisions to make...
This story was wonderful! I read it in one day because I just couldn't put it down!!! And as a fellow homeschooling parent, I loved reading about the group homeschool classes, the world being their classroom and the different homeschooling methods. Can't wait to read book 2 in the series!
****Adding I agree about someone's comment about the girl on the cover. She isn't the right age to be Jana in the book. But I don't fault the author for this , I don't believe they pick the covers.

Didn't care for this book. I felt nothing for the characters and found them all a little annoying. There wasn't anything memorable about this book.

Love Lessons by Margaret Daley is one of my absolute favorite love inspired Christian romance novels. The story line is absolutely phenomenal, and it was so easy for me to connect with because I am homeschooled myself. The characters, Alexa, Ian, and Jana, were equally amazing. This novel incorporates romance, Christianity, the hardships of life, love, forgiveness, friendship, and most importantly, learning to entrust our lives in the Lord's hands and knowing that He is always there for us. Margaret Daley is an exceptionally talented Christian author who has written a novel near and dear to my heart, and one that I will cherish always.

It's a great story.. I borrow this from my local library because something about the book cover & plot called out to me... it seem familiar. Then once I started reading the book, by chapter 2 I realize why the book on the library bookshelf called out to me; apparently I had read this book back in 2010 when it first came out. Haha, silly me.. it is still a great plot! Definitely recommend this book to anyone!~ <3

Alexa needs a tutoring job to pay for school. Ian needs a tutor for his daughter Jana, since his wife left them.

A good one to read. It was a good story for homeschooling people and those that might not approve will find it is a good experience for children.

A tale that stands as hold as time, never judge a book by it's cover.
