Morris Fenris loves to let his imagination paint pictures in a wide variety of genres. His current book list includes everything from Christian romance to an action-packed Western romance series, to inspirational and Christmas holiday romance.
I enjoyed reading this story. It is a heartwarming inspirational Christmas romance about two people who have suffered loss. Travis recovered from the loss of his wife and had a lot of support from family. Claire's story is so sad with the loss of her husband and son as well as a miscarriage four years ago. She has no family left and is so overwhelmed with grief that she sells her business and leaves everything behind to move to Chicago and start over. Unfortunately, running doesn't help as she hasn't dealt with her loss yet. I love the angels helping. It was nice that Claire and Travis met and got to know each other. I thought the romance was rushed way too much, like instalove despite her still grieving. And although it was kind of fun that they decided to go to Vegas to marry, somehow that seemed out of sync with their Christian lives. But it is just a story and it is always good to get a happy ending. There are a lot of interesting characters in this book and I loved the big surprise Claire got when she went home to get her business license and how she paid it forward almost immediately.
Inspirational... that is the best word to describe this story. Two people finding each other after the tragic losses of their spouses. This book is truly filled with hope and love.
Amazing story of grief and recovery. I cried in the beginning and cheered in the end. I love the idea that we each have a guardian Angel quietly helping and encouraging us.
Second chance love at Christmas. Heartbreaking and heartwarming story about grief, regrets and moving on. I felt the heartache these characters lived through and felt their joy when miracles opened their hearts at Christmas. Highly recommended!
