These books are a great basic guide, focusing on one topic only and with lots of great pictures to help you understand the text. This one is a good stepping stone to understanding the horse's mouth and why different bits work, although it should be followed up with more in depth books for someone who really wants to know more. But great for children or the very novice horse owner.
