What a great story. Becky struggling actress and amateur detective is summoned to a will reading for an uncle she does not know. Her inheritance a lawn flamingo and a murder to investigate. I always loved Becky Robinson stories and this is a new series. The story is funny, intelligent and entertaining, the characters are suitably odd and I loved the ending. I enjoy Brittany's books and this is a real pleasure. Two fun filled hours. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

Becky is invited to the reading of her Uncle Al's will. Except she doesn't have an Uncle Al. Thus begins the first mystery in the Robinson Family Detective Agency. Follow all the antics and red herrings as Becky deals with a new agent for her acting and works to solve the case of Uncle Al. This is a great beginning of a new series and doesn't disappoint. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Chipper, likable characters race to solve a crime

Likable characters and a short linear plot makes a good alternative to the hardboiled variety. If you're a writer: beware a certain amount of coziness may creep into your writing.

Becky and Lois are on the hunt for a killer. I found this to be a really fun quick mystery. The Robinson characters are a hoot and the mystery was we-written. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Simplicity Would be Okay…

… But this is simplistic. Or for simpletons. Sadly, it’s written at a fairly juvenile level, including grammatical errors befitting a child. The mystery goes nowhere quickly, and is uninteresting and uninspired. Waste of time.
