Misty Black is an internationally bestselling and award-winning author of dozens of picture books in several languages. When she's not busy crafting magical stories that inspire and delight children worldwide, you'll find her exploring her faith, spending time with her family, or engaging in a friendly competition over her favorite board games. She's only a bit competitive, or so she says (wink).
Her passion for cooking runs deep, as she learned the importance of a home-cooked meal from her mother at a young age. And while she can brew up a mean pot of soup, she'd be the first to admit that her singing voice leaves much to be desired.
She loves the great outdoors and camping in the mountains. However, she doesn't get to go as much as she'd like. But that doesn't stop her from seeking adventure in other ways, mainly through reading and writing.
Her ultimate goal is to inspire a love for reading in every child so they, too, can embark on thrilling adventures without ever leaving the comfort of their own minds. If you're looking for a family-oriented author with a passion for inspiring young minds and a willingness to sing off-key while whipping up a cheesy lasagna, look no further!

This book would be a fantastic way for your child to encourage a friend who isn’t feeling well—whether a simple illness, or a serious disease. Filled with hope.
When You Feel Better is a unique book that is written to be given to someone who is ill or you hope will get well soon. I have not read a book like this before so I wasn't sure what to expect but it is a really sweet book with a lovely message.
The book shows bunny and koala as they promise to take adventures together and hope and dream of the future that they will have when they feel better. There are so many adventures shown in beautiful illustrations that would be inspiring and pleasing for anyone to see, a lovely reminder of what you might have to look forward to. Also on each page there is a ladybird to find and a few pets within the book which is a nice extra.
This is a beautiful story that is written to the person getting better which gives it a loving and comforting feel. It would be the perfect story for children who are not feeling their best.
A beautiful book to help someone who is sick or had surgery or even just suffering mentally to feel a bit brighter and ease their pain.
Bunny and Koala, go on a journey and along the way show the value of offering kindness and understanding to someone who is not feeling very well.
When Bunny comes to cheer up Koala who is sick, they imagine the fun adventures they want to have when Koala feels better ❤️️ It’s the perfect way to go on a magical journey, when you are feeling ill, recovering or just having a bad day, without getting out of bed.
Comforting get well soon gift for women, men, children or teens Beautiful hand-drawn illustrations sure to brighten anyone's day with heartwarming messages for anyone who needs a pick-me up. The bonus is that a book lasts longer than flowers or chocolates and feels like an ongoing hug that you can access again and again.
Look out for the ladybirds on every page, that was my 2 year old granddaughter Jessica's favourite bit.
Kids will love this sweet, colorful, beautifully written and illustrated story. Koala isn’t feeling well so her friend Bunny comes up with all sorts of dreamy adventures they can do together once she feels better to brighten her spirits. I recommend this loving book.
What a sweet book. I will keep this book in mind as a gift for any child who is ill, breaks a bone, is recovering from surgery, etc. It will surely cheer him/ her up.
In this heartwarming, comforting story, a sweet bunny wants to make her friend, koala, who is sick, feel better. To cheer her up, bunny comes up with wonderful adventures they can do together once koala is feeling better. The love and kindness that bunny has for koala is very touching. The beautiful lyrics and the lovely, water-colored illustrations are perfectly matched. This book will touch your heart and soul.
Me encantó leer este libro con my hijo de cuatros años. Es un libro que puedes leer si no se siente bien. Para recordarle que cuando pase el tiempo van a regresar a jugar y divertirse.
Another great story by Misty Black. This Spanish language version of her sweet tale to make kids feel better is fantastic for both kids stuck at home or kids with parents who are unwell.
I absolutely loved this book. It’s a wonderful book about true friendship, dreams, adventure and more.
When the Koala gets sick, Rabbit comes to visit and cheer him up. They talk about all the wonderful things they will do when Koala gets better.
While this rhyming book, with beautiful illustrations, is perfect for kids up to age 8, I think it would make a fabulous get well card for any age! I wonderful gift for your BFF when they are feeling under the weather, both physically and mentally.
This is a sweet story of friendship. The beautiful story makes for good feelings and good dreams if read as a bedtime story. The illustrations are beautiful and help with the overall feel of the book. When you feel better we will go to the park after dark and catch bugs, or fire flies. We will go on morning runs and fly kites. We will camp and swim in the stream. What would you like to do? Would you like to catch fire flies or fly kites or camp? Would you like to do all three? I'll leave you here to think about what you would like to do. There are more things in this rhyming story and these best friends that they are planning to do. I highly recommend this book for some one who doesn't feel well and the friend who wants to cheer you up. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
When you Feel Better: A Get Well Soon Gift, is an adorable book with beautiful illustrations about a bunny who goes to visit her sick friend to comfort her. The story is written in rhyme and it rhymes very well with good meter. The bunny tells her friend about the fun things they will do when she is feeling better. At the end of the book the reader is encouraged to go back through the book and locate items on each page, which makes for a fun activity for kids to do. This book would be a great gift to anyone who is sick or anyone feeling anxious about something. While we would recommend it more for children ages 3-9 as a storybook, it could also be a good gift for someone in the hospital or recovering from an illness.
A beautiful poem showing through rhyming words and beautiful illustrations how Little Rabbit tries to cheer up a friend, Koala Bear, during a time of sickness.
Little Rabbit mentioned so many caring acts like, making a book, coming up with fun activities for when Koala feels better, and showing compassion for Koala.
When You feel Better is a delightful book about caring, friendship, empathy, compassion, and love. The author also encourages the readers to find the ladybugs and the quilt designs embedded in the pages. What fun activities!
I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it. Its rhythmic text of the story dances beautifully to the unbelievably and amazing illustration that perfectly bring this story alive. When You Feel Better is a fun read and shows the beauty of friendship. It will inspire children to (1) use their imagination (2) see the positive side even when down and (3) read a book which will become their portal to another world. Highly recommend this book.
This is a nicely written and great read for children who might be in bed with the sniffles, or suffering from a more serious illness. It's also great for children whose parent may be ill. Finding things to look forward to and enjoy is a superb way to get through the tough days of illness. Misty has written a lovely story to help transport children's minds away from the stockroom and on to delightful adventures.

A sweet story with beautiful illustrations. I gave it to my son when he was recovering from surgery and he really appreciated it. It's so much better than grabbing a regular greeting card. I highly recommend grabbing a few of these and having them on hand for when people you love are feeling sad or sick.
Super impressive book! Gorgeous illustrations to match the gorgeous message. I love the positive message and the focus on the great adventures they will go one when they feel better which is way more fun than not feeling well. A perfect gift that keeps on giving. Oh, my daughter and I love this book. Great book for when someone doesn’t feel well to read to kids who may not understand to give them something to look forward to on another day!
I love how the illustrator captured the authors message so beautifully. The rhyming was a sweet comfortable rhythm. It will delight any child and adult who read it together!
What a sweet message for kids that are sick. This story will encourage them to dream big and use their imagination. It will give them hope to heal quickly!

So this book was so adorable. It goes through all of the fun and adventurous things friends will do when they feel better. Perfect for kids of all ages! I loved it. And I know that I’m biased but the rainbow is significant in this book.
A cute children’s book about friendship, standing by each other through good times and sickness. I like that that the story encourages that just because your I’ll today we shouldn’t be down, there’s lots we can do when we are better! I also like how the author has hidden games buried in the book! 🐞
