Relationship status: It’s complicated.

If everyone at Twin Falls Academy knew my secret I’d never wash away the stain. There’s one person in particular who would love to watch me fail — toxic teen princess Rosalie Evers — and she’ll do or so anything to make it happen.

So, I have to keep my relationship with the three hottest guys at Twin Falls, Preston, Maddox and Quinton, on the down-low even though they are quickly becoming my favorite addiction.

Sneaking around is a rush but getting caught is my worst fear.

Is being with the boys worth trashing my reputation? Or am I risking everything for something that will ultimately destroy me?

I don’t have the answers. What can I say…it’s complicated.

SHATTER ME is part of a four-book series that ends with a massive cliffhanger and must be read in order. The books are: RUIN ME, SHATTER ME, WRECK ME, DEVASTATE ME. Contains foul language and mature themes. Enjoy!

Good but not great.

I liked the first book in this series much better than this one. I think this one had a few flaws in the character development and in the plot, though the majority of the story was pretty good and held my interest. I had trouble at the beginning of the book because the heroine, Gypsy began with one scene where her and her three guys were at the abandoned cabin in the woods that they fixed up to be their clubhouse/meeting place, and they were grilling and a forest ranger catches them so they can’t use that place anymore.

For quite a while after that she talks about how much fun she has with the guys and how she loves being with them but she doesn’t describe any specific interactions with them and I was starting to think is this all it is going to be? Her glossing over her good times with the guys in a few words? But soon she starts to have more interaction with them. The funny thing is that these three guys are supposed to be her boyfriends and you know how young love is, but she seems ok with going days without talking to them or hearing from them.

Then when they are together a few of them start to have issues, Maddox has issues with his Dad forcing him to join the military after high school,

I know it ends in a cliffhanger so some of these questions will be answered in the next book, but I just don’t think that is how a high school girlfriend would behave. Even if she is trying to keep the polyamorous relationship on the down low. I mean texting is on the DL. Just too many things don’t add up, even with bully Rosalie on the sidelines.

However, it was still good enough for me to want to read the next installment to find out what happens. I am a sucker for knowing the ending and having everything wrapped up in a neat little package. 😎

Lastly, since I am a very visual person, I am often initially attracted to a book due to the cover art, so let’s talk about the cover on this one. It is similar to the cover on the first book. I think it is supposed to be her school photo or something but does that look like a school picture from the 1970’s or what?

Actually after thinking on my comment above I realized that one of my biggest pet peeves about books is cover photos that are overused stock photos. When you can’t tell if you have read that book or not because it has the same photo as ten other books. So at least this book doesn’t have that issue. I was a bit harsh on the cover photo. At least I haven’t seen it before.

I received an ARC from Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.

After the cliffhanger in the first book I was kind of expecting more from this second book. I did like the book and am invested in the series, but I feel like this book was more a filler book than something more substantial for the series.

Gypsy has some character holes that kind of frustrated me in this book. I wanted her to be more fierce and more assertive but that wasn't really the case. She took the boys back without much push back and her relationship with Georgia is really confusing... does she not care that there is sexual history between Preston and Georgia... because I would 100% not be as chill as she is with it all. Meanwhile, the boys are "sharing" her affections but are still jealous and Rosalie is around somewhere but no one really knows where.

The sharing and plot line of this book doesn't really mesh with the nature of RH and I think that is where I have the most hang up, besides Gypsy and her lack of backbone throughout this book. Like hello!??!?

I am interested to see how the other two books fair, since I really enjoyed the first one.

Thank you to the author for a copy of the earc.

Received ARC for Honest Review
I Give this Book a 2.5/3ish out of 5 Star Rating, Listing as 3.

Drama: 5/5
Suspense: 4/5
Romance: 2/5
Heat: 0/5
Cliff(?): Yes

While I’m interested in reading the next book, this one was not at all up to par with the first. This went in such a different route, I’m not a fan.
Rosalie and Georgia has way way way too much time on the book, Gypsy’s personality seems to have changed. This one for me was a total let down. Just focusing too much on one thing, that it became more of a task to read.

Will I read book 3: I will read it cause I wanna see where it goes.

A trio is three!!!

Ugh, all the way through, right up until the end, the MFC refers to a group of 4 people as a trio. It's a small thing but its really infuriating. On the very last page she finally uses quartet instead but seriously? It's so annoying. The maturity hasn't picked up and I've read other academy books with better schemes and plots. It just all feels one dimensional. No more for me.

I really enjoyed this one and in fact, read book two straight after. Gypsy is a bad ass, which I loved and the fact that she stands up to her bullies is refreshing. There is always one queen bee and I am still waiting for this one to be taken down a peg or two, but I fear that she is as nutty as squirrel poop.

Can't wait for book 3.

Just a warning.. this says its a reverse harem but she only ends up with one guy. It says it on here and on amazon. I don't tend to consider series where the the FMC only ends up with one guy a reverse harem series.

With that said...It's not a bad series. It's witty and funny. I enjoyed it.

This was okay. I will continue with the series, but I am not sure how I feel about any of these relationships. All three guys tend to think of themselves. Gypsy gives her heart to them and they are very hot and cold to her.

Georgia, the BFF, is the type of friend I would never trust. She appears to be a gossiper who is always looking for the juicy story. I liked Gypsy in the first book, but she seems to be getting weaker and weaker with every scene in the story.

This strong girl became weak with the guys especially Quinten. Quinten would talk to her and then ignore her. None of the three guys were strong alpha males who protected the heroine.
Gypsy was bullied by the queen bee, but they would say something - really. They would say something to Rosalie, but nothing really changed. These three guys were the ones who supposedly controlled the school, but they controlled nothing.
We find out that the guys have .

It was disappointing to see Gypsy weak and "chasing' the guys in certain scenes. She would text and they would ignore. Ugh, it is starting to become a pathetic relationship between all of them.

How is Gypsy able to miss so much school?!?!?

Mixed feelings
I did enjoy the book besides its turn in direction but there must be a reason for that, so I am looking forward to the next book and the answers to come. Shatter Me, is filled with mixed emotions, heartache, bulling and confusion for Gypsy, I do feel like there was a bit if a 180 on Gypsy’s character, she seems to have lost the dark humor and sarcasm that I loved in the first book, but that could all be due to her walls being broken down, she gave in to forgiveness way to easily and cares way too much on how her reputation can be ruined by dating three guys, there was not much of sexual build-up or teasing that I was expecting after Ruin Me! Other than that, seems like there is a lot more to come and could get deeper and more intriguing, i will definitely be waiting!

Gypsy is still secretly seeing Maddox, Quinton and Preston. Things are getting harder to keep from everyone. It seems like their relationship is starting to spiral out of control within their dynamic. Outside factors are contributing to the conflicts between them but can they work their way through it to stay together? Or will they let it rip them apart?

This is a great story that'll have you on the edge of your seat. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

You need to have read Ruin Me in order for this one to make sense as it's part of a series and the first book ended in a cliffhanger. Now, we deal with the boys and Gypsy keeping their relationship quiet. Gypsy also has to deal with her bully. I understand that but some things in the book happen without any reason that we can see. I am hoping some of these things are cleared up in the next book and there are more interactions between Gypsy and her boys.

Shatter Me is book two of the Twin Falls Academy and for me it wasn't as good as the first book in this series but it was still a good read. I like the chemistry between Gypsy and the guys. This book has it all drama, bullying, betrayal, secrets, lies, cheating, steam and it ends in a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the next book in this series to find out what happens next. Things are heating up in Twin Falls
Gypsy has the attention of the 3 hottest guys in school but keeping it on the down low is getting harder and harder. Preston, Maddox and Quinton wouldn't be judged harshly if their secret came out but Gypsy certainly would and with the school bully gunning for you it's hard to have this different kind of relationship and not be worried about it all crashing down. As well as navigating the guys feelings. Great story. I'm dying to find out what happens next.

Excellent!!!

I was looking forward to this installment of the series and the authors didn’t disappoint! Angst and drama galore with a smattering of putting a bully in her place to give all the right feels.

*edited to add* This series is NOT Rh, so if you’re reading it as an RH fan, you will be greatly disappointed.

Too many clichés

I don’t like the characters as much this go ‘round. Pop culture references are vomited throughout. I don’t like how the incredibly bright Gypsy is letting her grades fall because of guys. Smh

I'm just not sure

At this point I'm not even sure if I even like any of the Main Characters. I like the story, the writing is good but Gypsy, Quinton, Maddox, & Preston all come across whiney to me. Preston just seems like a self involved jerk!
