Great information for home buying!

I am glad that I purchased this book before I went out looking for a house! I had no idea there was so much involved in buying a house. For instance, I had no idea that I had to get a house inspection. But I guess people will try and get away with what they can today. I learned so many things that I should look for when walking through a house that I would have never done before reading this book.

I was also taught a lot of negotiation techniques when dealing with realtors. Even if it's the realtor that I am using. This book points out everything to consider from community, schools, taxes, neighbors, budgets, house styles, and so much more. It's definitely a book I will keep around for my friends or family.

Yes, this is a very basic book, and as such should not be the only one you read. If you are buying a house, you need to read a lot, because it is a major investment. This is a quick read and will give you a lot to think about. Basically trust no one, and verify everything. No one is looking out for you more that you are, and I say to have at least 2 inspections.

Good, but I was looking for more

This is definitely a good starting point, especially for the listed price of the book. But I was looking for something more in-depth with quantitative statistics and analysis.
Good starting pint for sure though.
