I read this book as part of the e-course I took on mandalas called the Great Round offered by Kathryn Costa. The book is based on the work of C. G. Jung, Swiss psychoanalyst, and Joan Kellogg, an art therapist. Both Jung and Kellogg used the mandala as a tool for self-understanding and personal growth. Kellogg expanded on the work of Jung and identified the 12 stages in psychological development. I took the course to better understand the history of mandalas.
