Rate this book
In 1936 Berlin, an unlikely friendship develops between Sidney Klein, the son of an American Army officer, and Klaus Bergman, the son of a Nazi SS officer. Although they are of complete polar opposites when it comes to the political spectrum, they develop a trust and friendship that will remain throughout the coming world war. When they part ways after the end of school, they promise each other, "Till we meet again." Neither of the friends could possibly guess that their paths would cross again in the least likely of places and under the most unusual of circumstances. Their career choices will lead them along very similar, yet diverse paths. Their combat experiences are quite different, but both are equally affected by the death and destruction of war. Sidney's girlfriend, Rachel, travels with her Aunt Sylvia to Germany to help Sylvia's Uncle Abraham close his shop and move out of Germany. It is also to be an opportunity for Rachel to experience the city nightlife of Berlin. A series of events that result in Rachel and Aunt Sylvia losing their passports and coming to the attention of German authorities sees them being arrested and sent first to jail and then the concentration camps. Sidney makes a difficult decision to join the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) in order to get to Germany and rescue his beloved Rachel. He uses all available means to locate where Rachel is being held and does his utmost to be placed in a position to liberate her. Life in the concentration camp is brutal, dangerous, and subject to mistreatment. Both women are fortunate in possessing skills that make them "essential" personnel, extending their lives and probably improving their chances for survival. As the war draws to a close, Sidney is leading a rescue party headed for the camp at Dachau, and Rachel. Little does he suspect that the promise he and Klaus Bergman made so many years ago will be fulfilled. They will meet again in the living hell called Dachau.

The story is about self-discovery , relationships , love and family. The plot focuses not only on protagonist but also his kinsperson. Language used is rich and I learnt many new words. Narration flow is smooth. The writing style is standard with brilliant usance of words. The storyline is steady paced. Every character has given equal and significant part. Characters are relatable , easy to connect, and well developed. Especially,  the female characters are inspiring and strongly built . Overall, it was a worthwhile and motivational read.

In today's time, the term 'mediocrity' is really overrated. It has somehow become a tag of incapability. Nobody likes to being addressed as a mediocre today. We think that it is some sort of offence. It is not actually our fault, our very mindset has been shaped to regard this like a issue. However this is not the ultimate truth. The untouched truth is that nobody could be a perfectionist in all spheres of life. There is one sphere or we can say one thing at which we could give our best. Robin Sharma has rightly said that 'if you try to do everything, you would end up doing nothing'. It means we all are mediocre in various aspects except the one which is our forte and where we could perform our best work.

Till we meet again by Shibaji Bose revolves around the perils of being mediocre. Aryan was the eldest son of his family who was trying hard to come in the good books of his father, who on the other hand always consider him good for nothing. Even after completing his graduation, he has no job to continue which has somehow become the cause of worry for everybody in the family. His difficulties doubled after the sudden demise of his father who unwittingly got trapped into the rage of poltical violence. Then follows the not-so-smooth journey of Aryan where he came in contact with different women who affected his personality in some way or the other.

Written in the background of poltical turbulence, the storyline concludes with the introduction of Aesthetics, which proved out to be the time changer in Aryan's life. Although the ending was good and assuring, but the beginning turned out to be completely disappointing for me. The first thing which according to me was not compelling was the title itself. It was not decided keeping in mind the plot of the story. Then the story is strecthed to some extent. Author has compiled numerous events without elaborating it. Only after the entry of Aesthetics, i started taking interest in it. Due to various reasons, i couldn't take much interest in the story.

My Rating- 2.5/5

The plot of this book basically revolves around the protagonist Aryan, who was a mediocre boy in his academic achievements but he never limited himself in that criteria. He goes on exploring more of himself and at the end discovering his actual strength and work interest.

The development of the character of Aryan throughout the book was awesome. From the death of his father to being a toy in someone's vengeance he matured and learned a lot throughout his journey. Various people influenced and motivated him in life and the best thing that I like about his character was that he was always positive towards everything. Apart from the journey of Aryan the author also highlights about the political influences going in the country and its effects on the life of people. Also the little mentioning of racism in India through conversations among employees was smartly put up.

To sum up the positivity, struggles and determination of the characters in the book makes this book a perfect read.

When I picked up this book, I thought it will be routine rom-com novel, but to my surprise, it turned out completely different. I am glad that I picked this up. I started reading and while reading prologue only, I fell in love with the writing style of the author. The main characters of the story is Aryan, he lives in Gitanjali, Kolkata along with his parents and siblings. He wanted to opt a career as a hair dresser. But destiny took turn and sudden life changing events happened with him. His family or we can say his father became victim of political violence and he suddenly became man of the house, he had to take responsibility at a very early age. There are number of other characters that are also important for the plot like Rohan, Rhea and majorly Priya, Kavya and Ahana. Read the book to know how these characters have impact on Aryans life. This story is an classic example of how ordinary people have extraordinary stories. So the plot itself is unique in nature. The author has written is nicely. The story has been narrated in amazing way. The prologue has been written amazingly but according to my opinion, the narration style has been average aa the story moves forward. I had more expectations because of initial chapters. The majority part of the stories are related to a common man’s life so here and there we can see live examples. The language of the book is lucid. So overall it was a good read. Recommended from my side.

This is an extraordinary story of ordinary, middle class guy. Aryan, who was average in his academics, but having an extra-ordinary zeal to discover himself. Story shows how average guy become a principle stylist at Aesthetics, master outlet of great salon at Kolkata.

Throughout journey he encounters with some incredible women.
Rhea, her younger sister who helps to inculcate a sense of purpose in his life. Kavya is vivacious, flirty & sensuous, who makes him bolder.
Priya, her growth from counsellor at styling course to become a big shot in the styling industry is very impressive. She teaches him lesson none else could have. Bipasha, her journey from master artist at Aesthetics to start own wellness business is inspiring . All feminine characters are well developed & very strong. They have great impact on Aryan's life.

One another plot running parallel to the main story. Which discusses about today's political system, illiteracy, religious & caste based issues etc.

Book : Till We Meet Again
Author : Shibaji Bose
Publisher : Srishti Publishers
Genre : Fiction

Till we meet again is a story of a guy having his life adrift. He is not that good in study and is quite ordinary. All he has is his exceptional passion to uncover his true self. In this journey he comes across some spectacular women which has a great positive impact on his life. The story gives an insight of how being eldest of all siblings in an ordinary lower-middle class family makes it essential for you to build your own independent life particularly when you unexpectedly have to become the man of the house. The book is all about family, life, relationships, adaptability and persistence.

The story is quotidian but amazingly relatable. The plot is little slow and intricate in the beginning but as it advances it starts having good pace. The story-line is detailed and the narration is good. It contains many nicely build characters especially women's as they plays an important role in both this story and in real life. Along with the main story author has brilliantly narrated today's primary issues of our nation like caste system based on ethnicity and religion, illiteracy, cultural and political scenario. I completed the book so fast and I kept yearning for it to contain more. Overall it's good and a recommended read.

The blurb "ORDINARY PEOPLE HAVE EXTRA-ORDINARY STORIES" clearly gives us a sense of what we can anticipate from this novel. This story of a young man, Aryan is definitely not the one which we do not get to see in general but with no doubt an impressing one.
First published in 2019 by Srishti Publishers & Distributors, in this 194 pages of the work of fiction, the reader will also find a general discussion or a talk among characters on the political scenario in many chapters of the novel.
The protagonist initially seemed to me as the boy next door. But as the novel advances we get to see an extra-ordinary zeal within him. The story presents a picture of a conventional lower-middle class family where being the eldest of all siblings conditions your chances of building your own independent life especially when you have to become the man of the house out of the blue as in this instance betided when Aryan's father became the victim of a political violence. As the family starts to fall apart in the absence of the leading member of the family , one will get to see this ordinary fellow experiencing life in trying to bring together his breaking family through encounters with some incredible women.
One will also get to see the lives of different women in a society and the unnecessary response of the people in the society with every vicissitudes they experience in their life. One of the lines "the goddess who was worshipped for five long days, morphed into clay, deep into the bed of the holy Ganges in signifying the cycle of the life" is used as a imagery to demonstrate the condition of women in this so called modern society. All together reading this book will be a perfect seasoning for one's mood.

Till we meet again, the title suggests a hardcore romance book based on the disciplines of love, care, affection

What I most liked about the story was how the inter-wining of such contrasting characters has been so beautifully done by the author.

After the protagonist's father's unfortunate demise, the way Aryan takes up the family's responsibility as the eldest male member is kinda adorable as well as heartbreaking at some point.

The girls, Rhea, Kavya, Priya and Ahana are the four pillars of the plot without whom the story is incomplete. Though they appear for short intervals, their significance is defining!

Coming to the technical part, the narration is sweet and simple complementing the storyline, use of words is average which is acceptable considering the target audience.

People who are into reading light one time books based on contemporary scenarios will definitely love this one!

Tagline: ORDINARY PEOPLE HAVE EXTRAORDINARY LIVES.
194 pages- an ENGAGING read.

Main characters:
Aryan
Rhea
Kavya
Priya
Ahana
Rohan.

All these Characters are completely different, the CHARACTER SKETCH is WONDERFULLY DONE.
Each one brings a LESSON, so as to say, a different vibe to the story.

The story revolves around Aryan and the Characters are weaved around and in the protagonist's story.

It's definitely a PAGE TURNER and so ENGROSSING that it can be categorised under a QUICK READ, as well.

It is very RELATABLE and will appeal the MASS AUDIENCE, touching some or the other aspect of their lives and striking a chord.

I found the beginning of the book, the PROLOGUE very ENTERTAINING, wherein the journey of a tea stall owner to becoming a well equipped food-joint owner is stated in awesome vocabulary. There is use of vernacular language for an amplified effect.

For the STORYLINE, check the BLURB in the pics.

For a debut novel, the author's flair and penchant w.r.t. the writing style is amazing.

A SIMPLE, BEAUTIFUL STORY of ordinary, middle-class people.

Title – Till We Meet Again

Author – Shibaji Bose

A story which holds the essence of A Middle-Class dilemma and the urge of exploration in the modern world. Revolving around Aryan, the protagonist who suffers a moment that turns his world Upside Down. But, he somehow struggles in this world in order to find himself. Exploring, Wandering and eventually meets people who help his life turn around.

This book holds flavors, some you may like, some you might not. Language is a bit of above par here which makes the book a careful read rather than a fast read. This book is recommended to those who wish to get a more refined language mixed with a romance novel.

It is an book with an inviting beautiful cover.
The author has done an incredible work with this relatable novel about life and family of an ordinary man and his struggles. The language is smooth and doesn’t creates the barrier at reading even with its high vocabulary.

The narration of the story I felt that was weaker at the beginning but it absolutely got better by reaching the middle last which made me hooked to it by the end. There is use of great vocabulary.

Though I personally didn’t felt relevant to the title until last. It have an wonderful and motivational storyline which also unfolds many events as it goes.

The author has done an incredible work with this relatable novel about life and family of an ordinary man and his struggles. The language is smooth and doesn’t creates the barrier at reading even with its high vocabulary.

The story focuses with Aryan’s life struggles and advances. It contains most elements a person faces in life like Love, Betrayal, Hate, Friendship etc.
There are many other characters in the story like Rhea, Kavya, Ahana, Rohan, Priya and many more which have been nicely developed and play there important role at their places in his life.

Some questions which pops in our minds are :

Will Aryan succeed in keeping his breaking family together?
Will they be able to get back there home?
What and How he learns big lessons of his life?
What will happen at last?
And many more...

And the answer to these is “TILL WE MEET AGAIN”.

My experience was like reading an complex book which is hard to dive in to turning an very smooth and fluent read which kept me holding to end.

Recommend to the all the readers.

What happens when a young mediocre man with an extra-ordinary zeal to discover himself suddenly becomes the man of the house?
Will Aryan pursue his dream and will he ever succeed in his life?
This book is about life, love, family, relationships, resilience and determination. Join Aryan in his journey through life. The ups and downs he faced, the arid situations he had gone through.
Behind the simple cover this book is a bombshell. I didn't expect it to be turned out so good but it proved me wrong. Though the story is very common in actual life but the way it is presented here is astonishingly amazing. As you read, you dive deeper into the true meaning of relationship, how time splits those feeble threads tied between relationships.
With a good storyline and correct choice of words this book is a worth reading for me. The flow of this story is very constant with a maintained balance of emotions, not too overpowering and not too sombre slightly hinted with politics. But some part of the book is really confusing for me as I got lost in the lines and new words. Combining everything this book is a good start of 2020 for me. It ended so early for me, I finished it within 2 days. Apparently I was longing for more.

‘Till We Meet Again’ by Shibaji Bose is a story about Aryan who is not sure of what he wants to be in his life. On the other hand his sibling are well focused and know what they want to achieve and where they want to be. While all this is going on his father becomes the victim of a political violence. All of a sudden all the responsibilities of the house come on Aryan and he becomes the sole care taker of the family. While experiencing life he has an encounter with some incredible women who play a different role in his life. What role do these women play in Aryan’s life? To know more read Till We Meet Again.

My Thoughts:

I would like to begin with the characters. The characters are really strong, bold and each of them are unique in their own way. The characters are independent and they are very well developed. I loved all the female characters in the book.

The plot and the sub-plot are very well thought. The book will surely create an eagerness among the readers to know what lies ahead.

The language is simple and lucid. The narration is nicely done.

The cover page and the title is apt to the story.

Overall it was a good read and I would surely recommend this book.

𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆: Till We Meet Again
𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓: Shibaji Bose
𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒆: Fiction
𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔: The story follows the life of Aryan and his struggles and advances in life. The story speaks of love, deceit, betrayal, friendship and all the other elements that make up a man’s life.
𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: The story follows Aryan, a shy diminutive lad who has to take care of his family following his father’s death in a political uprising. There are a number of characters that comes into Aryan’s life and each of the influences him in some way or the other. Four women influence Aryan in major ways. First is his sister Rhea, who has always supported her elder brother no matter what. Her voice comes as relief to Aryan, when his own mother has remained mute over his life choices. Second is Kavya, who is the beautiful landlady and wife of Aryan’s senior at his work. Kavya teases Aryan a lot and helps him come out of his comfort zone. But when she betrays him for her own gain, Aryan harbours no hard feelings as he chooses to learn from his lessons. Priya is another factor in his life who gives Aryan advice from her own mistakes and experiences. Aryan advances in life in his own way until he lands a job as a hair stylist in Aesthetics. There he meets a dynamic group of people who have their own quirks. They add to Aryan’s experiences. The author has described this phase of his life very beautifully. It is here that Aryan meets Ahana who leads him to believe that there is still hope for his heart. She soothes him and makes him whole again. The story takes place in a small neighborhood in Kolkata and we can see its transformation in the backdrop from a sleepy place to a bustling area. The political scenario throws light to the current politics of West Bengal accompanied by the descriptions of uprising and disgruntled folks of the city.
The author has written the story very beautifully and each sentence is constructed with elegance. The author is not afraid to use unconventional words for describing a simple situation. The story itself is a simple one, but the execution makes all the difference and turns an ordinary story to an extraordinary one.

Everyone leads a unique life; a life that could be penned down in a book. In Shibaji Bose's novel 'Till We Meet Again', we come across one such ordinary, young man Aryan, whose only aim is to cross the threshold of being an average. After his father's untimely death in a political riot, Aryan finds himself the man of the household. He somehow has to let go of his inhibitions and hold his breaking family together. In the midst of it all, he encounters life like no other. This is a tale of an ordinary man living an extraordinary life. Will he be able to fulfil his much-needed duty? Or will the average tag remain his only identity?

I wish I had read this book earlier. It's inspiring, bold and has a wide spectrum. I loved the overall narrative tone of the story. It's so motivating. Each of the women in Aryan's life taught him something; Rhea taught him to let go of the past and move forward, Kavya's sensuous and unapologetic nature made him bold, Priya taught him the lesson of life, and Ahana held his heart and made him shed his shell. It's amazing that he met so many women and they were all different from each other. Even his mother is such a strong character in the book. I enjoyed the character development, even the minor characters had their rightful place in the novel. The political growth displayed throughout the narration was splendid. The ending was fulfilling; it did justice to the plot. It was realistic until the very end.

The only flaws in the book might be the way the narration began. There was a haphazard mix of complex and compound sentences and so many decorative adjectives. It made reading the novel a tedious job. Although as the story progressed, it became better and I could dive inside the book smoothly. Also, I didn't understand the relation of the title of the book with the storyline.

Overall, I would recommend this book to any reader who would enjoy a motivating, smooth read. This book made me feel fulfilled.

Till we meet again is a story of a sleepy neighborhood, which transforms into a modern-day ghetto of gated communities, riding the real estate juggernaut. A story of resilience and determination, it’s a heady cocktail of familial bonds, hope, deceit, vengeance, and love.

The book is written inflow, each chapter is so interesting that you are intrigued to read the next one as soon as possible!
The language was classy, easy, smooth and yeah it wasn't too heavy. If you are a beginner then also you can easily relate to it. The cover is relevant to the content and the title makes it appear like an extremely emotional read, though it's quite practical.

What I loved more in this book was the characters, more than the male protagonist, I loved the female characters like Rhea, Priya, and Kavya.

We can complete in one go because the story goes fast and recommended to all type of book lovers.

The story is inspiring, striking and has a wide spectrum. I loved the overall narrative tone of the story. It's so influential and just beautiful.

The fact that every women in Aryan's life played a very important and significant part which molds the said person in what he is now. Aryan's mother is such a strong character in the book and I absolutely loved her. In the starting, the narration felt a bit off but as the story unfolds, it gets better.

Would love to read from the author in the near future!

Its not often that you read a book written by someone you know, for me it was the first time in the fiction category and it was a real pleasure. I am deeply impressed by @ShibajiBose Shibaji's writing skills. The best part of the book was it kept you hooked till you reached the end, it's a story of a common middle income family in Kolkata where the hero Aryan fights the odds to reach his goal and also takes cares of the family. Though i would have been happy if Aryan and his siblings found their mother at the end , however, overall it was a lovely reading @Tillwemeetagain and hope to see and read more stories by Shibaji in the coming days.. I recommend all fiction lovers to read it ..

My Take:
Simple writing is the most difficult to do. The author has accomplished that and proved how simple can be effective and elegant.
A story we all live everyday and see around us all the time. Aryan is a simple guy who has ambitious yet he's confused. When suddenly he becomes the man of the house and have to make critical decisions he grows up. The transformation his character goes through is very well crafted. Family and little friends help him shape up as a person. His sister Rhea helps him identify his goal in life.Priya teaches him how success changes people. Kavya helps him learn how to smile. The story talks about Aryan, the challenges he faces and whether he would be able to keep his family united inspite of their differences.
A culmination of all small beautiful experiences help Aryan to deal with the situations and stand tall with his integrity. I like the way the story flows. Simple and straight from heart. I could connect with the situations and relationship challenges.A normal family with shades of grey in all characters. Everyone is selfish, making their own decisions, striving to make their mark on their own terms.
I would rate this 4/5.

His difficulties doubled after the sudden demise of his father who unwittingly got trapped into the rage of poltical violence. Then follows the not-so-smooth journey of Aryan where he came in contact with differ women who affected his personality in some way or the other.

Life isn't about any one person, it's the cocktail of several people, some stay, some teach and go away. The characters of this story is the same. Aryan has to go through several lessons before he arrived at his destination. The characters are unique and interesting in their own space. Each of them have a backstory. Even the male characters, like Aryan's dad and brother but mostly it's about the role of woman in Aryan's life- his mother's sacrifice and sister's support which shaped him.

The crisp language and unique writing style
Detailed description of the festival Bijoyadashmi. The different shades of characters the women Aryan encounters display while teaching him lessons of life. The Aesthetics segment that give a clear picture of the insights of a salon.

What I like:
1. The character of Aryan is pleasing.
2 The incredible characters in the protagonist’s life and the way they mold him will make the story more interesting.3
3. Lessons of life are illustrated in an interesting manner

This is a story of a young and ordinary man Aryan. Aryan was unlike his siblings who were ambitious and know what they want to do in their career. He was the eldest of the three siblings. His younger brother Rohan was wiser than him. His sister Rhea who is the youngest of the three siblings was quite like their mother. Her reception and opinion both matches with her mother very well. Aryan went to the career fair with his younger brother Rohan and finally decided and announced to his family that he wanted to be a hair stylist.

His sister Rhea supported him by saying “Not a bad idea as a starter!” He met Priya, his counsellor for the course. Priya taught him lessons that nobody else could have. On his way to discover himself, he met Kavya and Ahana also. All these women were incredible and helped Aryan a lot. I totally agree with Shibaji when he says that “Ordinary People Have Extraordinary Stories”. Read this book yourself to know what the author means by this.

The language of the book is easy to understand. I could relate myself to Aryan as I was also not sure about my career initially. This is a must read book for today’s youth who have strong determination to pursue something. You can grab a copy of this book from Amazon or Flipkart. I am really glad that I read this book and that too in one go.

PLOT: Not everyone has an aim for their lives. Not everyone has their future planned. Such was a life of Aryan untill he was forced to be the man of his house by some tragic circumstances. It is a story of a common man of a middle class family struggling with the life's unexpected journey. ☆
REVIEW: ● The story is very relatable to the daily life struggles faced by a common man and how they are being dealt. An adequate narration with an adequate pace.
● The characters are built very precisely and carefully by the author. The potrait of not only the protagonist but that of other females are amazingly described. Even the political backdrops in today's world along with the sleepy neighborhood is described very nicely.
● The title gave off a romantic cum tragedy kind of vibes but, this plot is lot more than just that and, it is not at a romantic and the cover gave off a mysterious look. Because of unpredictable title and cover the genre of the book come as a shock, a good one though in this case. ☆
Overall, I really enjoyed this read. The part I loved the most was how Aryan was just a mediocre who extracted the extraordinary from an ordinary life. The vocabulary is quite vast here and may or may not cause hinderance for the begginniers. ☆
RECOMENDATION: Recommended to all fiction readers. This story is actually quite relatable.

Right from his youth, Aryan wants and believes something extraordinary is going to happen with his life. He simply refuses to be an average guy with an average face that gets forgotten among the millions. He simply can't do that. He is ready to defend himself against the odds to achieve his dreams. In order to do that, he will have to equip himself with the right education and choose an appropriate career. An over enthusiastic Aryan is nothing without positivity. But fate has different plans for him. When his father dies in unforeseen circumstances, Aryan's life is shattered and he now has to bear on his shoulders the pressure of taking care of his middle class family. How does a simple man from an ordinary family face his mediocre issues and still achieve his dreams? Will he or will he not do something useful with his life, forms the rest of the story.

I can relate to this story in so many levels, coming from an Indian family myself. The characters in the book are relatable and I almost felt like I'm reading an autobiography! Till We Meet Again is fast paced, page turner that depicts the life of every other ordinary man's day-today life in the most uplifting way possible.

I picked up this novel out of excitement reading the blurb.
Ordinary people have extraordinary stories' says the blurb and it's true in every way. The book is well written taken up some incidents that happens commonly in life. The story revolves around the protagonist Aryan who is an ambitious boy and wants to discover himself truly. Aryan's life take a drastic turn when his father expires. And at this point the protagonist is made to lead life of struggle and hardship.Four girls also play vital role in Aryan's life though each are not related.
Every fictional story either wishes the protagonist to be photographer or an engineer or writer but in this story the author tried something different, yes here the protagonist wishes to be a hairstylist. This idea of author is unique and interesting. The story deals with live, family, believes, relationship, hard work and dreams.

👉The story is simple and short read. The plot keeps the readers hooked.
👉The cover is beautiful with interesting title. The characters are well explained and vividly described.
👉The language is lucid. Narration is smooth and story is well paced.

Overall I totally loved the flow of the story and it is recommend to every reader.
Happy Reading!!!

'Till We Meet Again' When I pick this book to read I imagined it to be a love story focused on male protagonist's perspective but it definitely wasn't what it was thought.

This story can be defined a definition of life. This book is about a person who while stepping stages of life acquaintance all the grudges and difficulties. He almost became traumatized when he lost his father in such an fragile age. This story is about how he picked up himself and took charge of situation.

How at different stages he met some people they much of them were women who helped him finding himself and being successful.

This story is such an encouragement for all the demotivated peoples. The most wonderful thing I loved about the book is choice of names and mature plot. Detailation is quite praiseable. Characterization gripping. I'm definitely giving 5 star to the cover.

This is story of strength, story of faith, story of success , story of belief and above all story of love we carry in our heart for our family.

A much recommendable one.
