Shéa MacLeod has dreamed of writing novels since before she could hold a crayon. She totally blames her mother.
Her favorite poem as a child was ‘Jabberwocky’, and Her favorite authors were Agatha Christie and Edgar Allan Poe. Which probably explains a lot.
After a six year sojourn in London, England, a dearth of good donuts has driven her back to her hometown. She now resides in the leafy green hills outside Portland, Oregon where she indulges in her fondness for strong coffee, Ancient Aliens reruns, lemon curd, and dragons.
Because everything's better with dragons.
Shéa is the author of the SUNWALKER SAGA (a fast paced urban fantasy series with a kick-ass heroine published by Montlake) and DRAGON WARS (a post-apocalyptic series with dragons)as well as the Cupcake Goddess novelettes.
I have such fun with this series. Granted the Christmas book wasn't my fav, but this Riviera installment was fun! The usual cast is with a wedding party, and the mother of the groom is a nightmare. The grandmother, though, made me smile. Sugar and Jack solve the case in style, and now I just need another book or four in this series. There's a cameo by another of MacLeod's characters. I haven't been able to get into those books, but I'll give them another try. Meanwhile, PLEASE give us more Sugar!
Worthy book but Chapter 13 stated the police found something in a room when in fact it was clearly stated beforehand that it was taken and given to them by someone else. That was a major distraction for me, along with a gender related typo. Otherwise, it would have been a 4 star mystery. Love the inclusion of the mysterious older woman on the train!!!
Another great read from this author. She does a good job of developing the plot twists and turns while keeping the reader intrigued to find out who is the villain. I look forward to Sugar's next adventure!
Sugar does not disappoint. Enjoy another light hearted adventure with sugar and her faithful companion! A truly delightful read a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon
Another Sugar Martin delight. I enjoyed the cast of characters and how they come to each others aid. Some of my favourite parts are the descriptions of Tippy's facial expressions. I can't wait to continue reading this series.
