AlphaDog, Get The Bitch You Want: A Man's Guide to Dating, by a Woman

Rate this book
This book is not for the pretentious. If you're insincere, full of lies and B.S., this book is not for you. But if you're genuine and want a truly rewarding relationship with someone real, you're ready for what's inside. There are different ways to pursue women. You can be like a cheetah--speedy--and skillfully pick up women with your charm and wit. Or you can be like a lion--powerful--and attract women through your vast wealth or social position. You might not be like a cheetah or a lion, but anyone can be like a wild dog.

In AlphaDog, Get The Bitch You Want, Wing Girl Kim gives men a woman's perspective on dating. Different people have different ideas of what it means to have a great date. Truth is, we are all different. That's why this book addresses differences while offering sound advice that works for everyone.

Wing Girl Kim talks about what it takes to get the most out of dating by using principles that women value. What do women value? In a word: Leadership.

After several marriage opportunities, long term relationships, and losing the man she hoped to marry to a car accident, Wing Girl Kim decided to help others with their romantic relationships. Asking men during dates, "Can I give you a suggestion?" Kim found a large majority of men wanting sound dating advice.

Wing Girl Kim continued to help many of the men she had dated by becoming their wing girl, accompanying them on outings to meet women.

Kim (real name, Kiai Kim) graduated from Vassar College with a concentration in Sociology. Much of her writing is founded on experience as well as studies in psychology and leadership. She currently writes for men's magazine, TheRugged.com, and for DatingThoughts.com.

The long tail at Amazon doesn't get much longer. If you've read all of the other pickup-related books there... well, you still might want to think twice about this one. It's not that it's poorly-written, in the way that so many self-published ebooks these days are. It's well-designed, grammatically correct, and the author seems to have a firm grasp on the science behind dating and relationships. It's just not at all useful. I'm not sure that a pickup book written by a woman could be. It's not even a pickup book per se. The title, which comes off as childish and misogynistic despite the obvious metaphor (which is repeated throughout ad nauseum), is misleading. This is essentially a book about what women want in a man - or what they think they want in a man, anyway. Follow these rules, and you'll just end up the nice guy a hot chick calls when she needs helping moving.

I won a copy of this on goodreads.
Excellent book! She guides the reader with her "Words of Advice", "Do this"; also mixes business, and psychology theories (breaks down the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) (makes the latter easy to understand/applies it to dating) to give some helpful tips regarding relationships. Possibly taking a step back and seeing what you are doing (wrong or right already). Loved it. Informative, but keeps it light and not boring. Plan on giving it to my son to read.

Well, actually, I wrote it.
It was funny to read it again recently. Sometimes I read something in there and think, "Did i write that?" A few times I've referred to it for dating advice. LOL.
