Rachel and the Smith Brothers are on the run, trying to escape the dangers they left in the city. But when they stop off for supplies, they suddenly find themselves in a whole new kind of trouble. Rachel realises the true nature of the men she is travelling with, but where exactly does she fit in? This is a companion short story to the Reacher Series set between The Running Game and Border Lines. This story does not contain any major spoilers to the main series and can be read independently. This is the large print edition of Family, with a larger font / typeface for easier reading.
L E Fitzpatrick is a writer of dark adventure stories and thrillers. Under the watchful eye of her beloved rescue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, she leaps from trains and climbs down buildings, all from the front room of a tiny cottage in the middle of the Welsh countryside.
Inspired by cult film and TV, L E Fitzpatrick's fiction is a collection of twisted worlds and realities, broken characters, and high action. She enjoys pushing the boundaries of her imagination and creating hugely entertaining stories.
She is currently working on her Reacher series with Creativia Publishing.
It's funny, because it's been a while since I read the beginning of this series, but it all came back to me clearly and I had no trouble at all diving back into this world. I may add that this can also be read as a standalone, enough informations are provided by the author to follow everything.
It's a short story, to the point, efficient and I was glad to get back to the Reachers, I even wondered why I'd waited that long to do so (maybe because I have 300+ books on my tablet to read ?).
Read it at light speed, loved it, need more. The Reacher series fills a gap that needs filling with paranormal, crime, conspiracy and more badasses. Lot of character revelations in this one that really gets you more heavily invested in already very real people.
