Michael J. Allen is a USA Today bestselling author of multi-layer science fiction and fantasy novels. Born in Oregon and an avid storm fan, he lives in far too hot & humid rural Georgia with his two black Labradors: Myth and Magesty. On those rare occasions he tears himself away from reading, writing and conventions he can be found enjoying bad scifi movies, playing D&D or the occasional video game, getting hit with sticks in the SCA or hanging out with the crew of Starfleet International’s U.S.S. DaVinci. To learn more about Michael, check out his website at www.deliriousscribbles.com
I have said before, but it bears repeating, "I love this author"! The knowledge of supernatural beings, including their names, what they do, magical uses, etc is clearly evident. I find it easier to get into this book, when the details fit. I am not hung up on a part not making sense, or typos. That being said, this book kept me intrigued from start to finish. I also want to get to the next book quickly. I am impressed how the worlds of fallen angels, magic beings, and Native American cultural beings all blend together. that makes it a draw for most anyone. The writing flowed, keeping me in suspense. I wasn't jumping to the end with an idea of what that end would be. I love that. I actually jumped in this series at book three, without feeling I did so. I was not lost. Now I will, most definitely, go back for the two prior books. Love that I can read on Kindle. I love a good paperback, but the versatility in where and how I am reading, is another great perk. I find myself getting to know the characters easily as I read. great add to the library for most anyone in your family. Maybe not a bedtime story book, but any teen would still love it too. I am almost fifty, and fully enjoyed this book.
Oh my goodness!! Who knew Atlanta could be transformed into a war of so many!!! This book has kept me wanting to read more and I can’t wait to get to what might be in store for me in the next. Revenge is ever present and oh how sweet it is when taking sides.
I like being transformed into an unknown but familiar city plagued with fights over power and rightful reign. There are characters my heart feels for and others who I can’t wait for revenge to be taken. I like how the book refers to previous instances and quickly brings you up to speed if unknown.
As usual Michael has kept me entertained for a good 5 hours. As always I sat down opened my ebook reader. Ignored my family and got involved in the life’s of the characters again of the blood Phoenix chronicles. All because I have to know what’s going on with Everyone and I got to know if Atlanta is going to survive Sidhe. Don’t you. So come on if you haven’t read the series start now you really need to because it’s all worth to get here.
With Ignis, Terrance and Caelum under Dunham's control and Vitae going off the rails due to adding Faerie essence to his rebirth pool, it falls to Quayla to save the city and its occupants.
I find each book in this series draws me in more and more and can't wait for the next instalment.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
There are non stop twists and turns. The action that started in books 1 and 2 does not let up in Vengeful are the Drowned. Some of the Phoenixs are under enemy control, and Vitae is just out of control. Can Quayla muster up what it takes to save Atlanta? As with the other volumes in this series, this book is well written and the characters are well developed. I highly recommend!

As normal, for a good 5 hours, Michael kept me entertained. As always, my ebook reader was opened. Ignored my family and again became engaged in the life of the Phoenix blood chronicles characters. All because I have to understand what's going on with Everyone and I have to understand if Sidhe will survive at Atlanta. You're not. So come on now if you haven't read the series.
With so many phoenixes under Dunham's control and Vitae trying to save Mare, and Quayla on the run, this story really takes you in. The twists, turns, and the Sidhe keeps you reading to know what will happen next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
