Lissa's a timid nurse whose best friend has moved away, has a mean racist grandmother and is being mistreated at work. She dreams of a man chained up who says that he's been searching for her all his life. He also a werewolf.

I thought Lissa was going to be a little more open to what was happening to her at the beginning of the book but then she turned super chicken shit toward the middle. Eventually almost all the way to the end she starts embracing her new life, but I wish it would have happen

A mousy, repressed nurse at a city hospital is turned into a werewolf by an old gypsy curse and a few well-placed bites. More than anything I think I enjoyed this book for the references to Tampa and the descriptions of Alissa's bigoted and hard-as-nails grandmother and her rabid Pomeranian.

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for ...more
