There is NO ONE like "the Dean". I'm a Duke basketball fan but I grew up in the Dean Smith era and have nothing but respect for him.

This book is gold. I have the 1981 version and I read it regularly. Reading it is like having a conversation with a legend. I love his philosophy. Reading this book will increase your understanding of the game and what's important to emphasize. It will also connect you to the many coaches to whom we owe so much. There really is nothing new under the sun.
