Marianne Taylor has been raised in a comfortable home, but now it seems she must pay the price. Her father has chosen a husband for her, and has given her no choice in the matter. But Marianne has made other arrangements for herself. She will take her chances with fate, traveling west to become the mail order bride to a man she’s never met. Surely what she finds on the frontier can not be as bad as the man her father wants her to marry.

But when Marianne arrives at William Hall’s ranch, she is met with a few surprises. William is now taking care of his sister’s child, who lost both parents in an accident. In addition, the ranch is in a state of disrepair, and part of Marianne’s duties will be to help bring it back to a proper state. The problem is, Marianne has no experience running a ranch, or even a household, for that matter.

Soon, she begins to regret her hasty decision to leave home. Is it possible she has made a mistake?

The three books in this series were very well written, Faith Johnson, approached each story with empathy for her characters. When each of the women these books has to escape a bad situation in a hurry and has already had an arraignment ready to go to it made me know the author had feelings for her characters. These were wonderful stories to read.

Wonderfully written!

A inspiring story of finding love and happiness in the west, this is a inspirational story that everyone should read. A excellent story of faith and courage facing adventures out on the frontier as a mail order bride. Truly a great read that was definitely enjoyable.

Marianne finds love

Short, sweet story. Marianne is fleeing an unwanted, arranged marriage to a disgusting, older man. Her father is adamant. Marianne flees west to a man she had been writing to.
William expected a hard working woman who knew how to care for a house, farm animals, as well as cook. He didn’t expect a dainty, society lady….

Loved the epilogue 💕

Very good quick read.

This is pretty much a typical mail order bride book. It is hard to write them with much drama after so many. I do prefer some more drama, intrigue, mystery and some action through in for more excitement. Cute quick read.
