Benny and Lorraine are getting married and it's all hands on deck. But things get complicated when Benny's mother Grace is kidnapped. Suspicions around Benny's family begin to swirl even more when the kidnapper ends up dead - stuffed into the trunk of his own car. Family secrets begin to unravel and another death puts more pressure on Avivah and her detective boss Nate to figure it all out before the wedding is ruined.
This is the fourth book in the Avivah is Rosen and Elizabeth Pepperhawk

I hope they get tied up/sorted out in the next novel.

Then Benny's mother is kidnapped and his brother arrested for having IRA connections. ...more

I enjoyed this book, not my favorite but I think I will probably read another in the series.

Very convoluted; lots of intertwining characters. It would probably be better to begin with the first book in the series.

Sharon is The Calgary Mystery Lady. Originally from the southern United States, she came to Canada a long time ago. As a child, she read adventure stories, science fiction, and mysteries, and knew more about bush pilots than she did about social graces. It took her a while to realize that the guys always got the best adventures and the best lines, a situation she set out to remedy by making up her ...more
