⁸Let's just set the mood, shall we?
The story? I loved the story.
The writing, and editing? Not so much.
Honestly, to me, there is nothing worse than a poorly edited book.
Especially, when it is so damn obvious!
Coming to one of my updates.
Several times through each book there was this error that drove me completely insane and if I didn't love the story so much, I would have DNF'd this entire series but, I do love the story, and I do love the authors... for those of you who may think I have some kind of vendetta against them, you would be wrong.
The error? You may be asking yourselves?
Mixing up the uses of the words "Then and Than".
And I confirmed, that they, the authors, do in fact know how to use them because in each book, there were other times that the usages were correct, so it's not an honest lack of knowledge... it's just serious lack of editing... and that is on their editors shoulders... but, also on the authors for not paying attention while they were proof reading their work.
Now, I am not perfect. I make mistakes when writing as well.
My biggest mistake is... I almost always forget the correct placement of my comma's.
And, when I am using my tablet to write my reviews, which I am not atm, I tend to hit the period button when I meant to hit spacebar because, the buttons are too close together! So, yeah, keep that one in mind when reading my reviews.
You will recognize it when you see what I am referring too. And yes, I am lazy. Not really but, I usually don't correct those.
I have MS, and when I am too tired to sit up, you get what you get. Sorry.
Now, to be clear.
I love the authors. They have some pretty cool ideas.
I love the story. I would recommend it to my friends.
The editor, and proof readers need serious improvement.
Too many errors!!!
Now, my final pet peeve.
At the end of this book, there is a link where we are suppose to be able to pre order the next book however, it's a dead link.
The book also states that the 4th book is supposed to come out in October 2022...
It is currently, January 2024.
There have been ZERO updates about book 4.
I have checked the webpages, and the profiles of each author and there is no announcements.
Not even one suggesting that the book is "late", understatement.
This is making me rage!
I want to read the next book.... but, this ends up being a scary thought because, is the next book the end of the series?
And if not, when is the end?
I need to stop writing.
Not only because this is just making me rage but, my back is beginning to throb, and any of you out there with this illness, can likely understand, when you body says, "enough" it means, enough!
Off to find another book... I am going to try a Facebook recommendation called, Broken Wolf. I think it is anyway... wish me luck!

This was a wild rollercoaster of emotional twists. Book 3 left me even more in the dark. So many crazy little plot twists have my head spinning in the best way. I have some theories, but I could be totally wrong about them all. These authors have weaved an intriguing tale of secrets, lies and obsession.
Indiana's relationship with Weston, Maddox and Jagger is coming along nicely... well, when they let her that is! She's trying to find her place with them. I really loved Weston in this book! He doesn't seem like he'd be so alpha, but dang Mr. Nerdy brings the heat! Jagger is her slaying knight and Maddox is her rock and safe place. Plus, there is maybe a new #4 that I'm not convinced is the right choice for her. We shall see.
So much happened in this book. My emotions were all over the place. I have so many more questions and was left with the tiniest of breadcrumbs to follow. We went from heartbreaking moments to shocking moments to tender moments - I can't wait to see what these two have in store for us in the last book!

I…Am…Not…Okay - the cliffhanger in this book has me needing the next as badly as we need gas prices to drop.
Indie and Sienna has no problem keeping me in their grasps as the plot thickens and the crazy (talking about Anonymous) really starts to show out.
I am amazed and in awe over Indiana’s continued growth and determination in this one. She may fear the monster from her past, but with the help of her guys and her best friends she is able to vent when no one else really listens. Don’t even get me started on her guys - Jagger, Weston, Maddox and a surprise - they come thru for her so many times and continue to melt my heart and make me squirm. And just when things seemed like they would get too heavy, Jen and Otis (the magnificent best friends) would sweep in with their antics and have me cracking up with laughter.
I am seriously head over heels in love with this series. Indie and Sienna has shattered the proverbial ceiling with this gritty, hot and suspenseful continuation and I devoured it in one sitting. I love the twists, how I truly didn’t see a lot of them coming, and how the characters are setting up home and business in my heart. It’s definitely a series that has taken top ranks in my favorites section and will be added to my physical library - now to wait for the finale because I have a feeling it’s gonna loaded with truth bombs that may just make me scream before my girl and her guys get their happily ever after - and I am camping out in the front row until then.

Absolution is the third book in the Tainted by Ruin series and probably my favorite so far of the three. I read it in a single sitting, staying up until 2 am to ensure I finished.
Indiana, Weston, Maddox, and Jagger's relationship has progressed, and it's steaming up, but separately they're each massively struggling.
I don't want to spoil much, but Indiana's stalker "Anonymous" raises the stakes and becomes a dangerous, enormous pain in the ass for everyone.
Jagger has been my favorite male character since the first book, and he still is, but Weston stole the show in this book.
I never imagined he could be so naughty 🤤
“Good girl. I have the perfect punishment in mind. One that gives me what I want and leaves you … needy.”
This book ends on a cliffhanger, but it's not a crazy one. It's pretty tame, in my opinion. If you haven’t started the series yet, I'd say now is a perfect time, and if you have, get ready for the wild ride to continue.

…. I feel like this series turned into click bait to read the next book. This was supposed to be a trilogy. Instead I read a book with a lot of unnecessary filler and a cliffy ending to get you to read the next book. I hate this stuff . Just write a great story like how you began and people would buy your next story. This is an unnecessary waste of my time and money.

I have read these three books in two days, and to say I'm hooked is putting it MIDLY. Omg, what a wild ride this is. Our poor Indiana has gone through so much, and it seems everyone (Outside of her guys of course) has a sick vendetta towards her, and just once we think we have answers, BOOM, back to square one. I NEED the last book more than I need the breath in my lungs. Overdramatic? Not even. I need all the answers!!
This book picks up right where the second one left off, and with it gives us new enemies and questions just who is telling the truth and who else has a nefarious agenda towards our girl. With the help of Maddox, Weston and Jagger (plus a fourth, but I'll never tell who *winks*) Indiana continues to grow so much, and learns how to trust not only the guys who hold her heart, but herself as well. Plus her friendship with Jen and Otis (which i need their story asap) brought a huge smile to my face every time!!
I have a strong theory about who anonymous is, but then at the same time I'm questioning myself too. There's been enough breadcrumbs that I *think* I'm right, but with how that cliffy ended, I really need to know!!

Plus her friendship with Jen and Otis (which i need their story asap) brought a huge smile to my face every time!!

This was such a rollercoaster of secrets, heartbreak, and emotions! We don’t get too many more answers but we do get quite a few more questions - and I’m surprisingly here for it! I loved seeing Indiana find more of her spark and standing up for herself more than in the first two books; her personal development throughout the series has been on point. Her relationships grow, and while that definitely helps her confidence, she does a great job of figuring that out for herself regardless. She still has PTSD reactions, which makes complete sense, especially since she’s frequently reminded of her trauma and forced to confront different aspects of it more than once.
The relationships she’s developing with each guy take surprising turns, one in particular (no spoilers!) and it’s wonderful to see India enjoying herself and learning about their pasts.
Twisty and dark plot points kept me captivated, as did the spice! 🥵🥵 🥵 This is book 3 of 4, and I am excited to see what will happen next!

Once again these two ladies killed it. From the very start, I was holding my breath to see what would happen. We got not one but two whammy’s in the first couple chapters. Right from the beginning I was feeling some gluttony and couldn’t restrain myself from devouring this book in one sitting.
Indiana and her men have grown so much since book 1. Not just relationship wise, but individually, they’ve matured and realized that the only people they can rely on is themselves and each other.
I am hoping that Indiana and her guys open up more in book 4. Even though they’ve become closer, there are still so many secrets and I fear that something bad will happen because of it.
The suspense is honestly KILLING me! I still have so many questions that have not yet been answered and I 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 to know what happens next… especially with that brutal cliffhanger! I need book 4 like I need air!!

Really loved getting to know more about our boys in this book, and the secrets really just kept coming! I enjoy how complex all the characters are and can’t wait to see how everything will be tied up in the last book.
I’m bummed to say this wasn’t my favourite book in the series. There was a lot going on in the background with all the POV changes, but also not much actually happening in the story so the pace of story felt a bit out of whack and no real connection between the events and the characters. Personally, there are too many things happening in this story at the current time for me to really grasp where things are going which is a little disappointing with more open ends then answers. It was already a complex and layered plot that didn’t need to be added to as much as it has to include so many tropes/situations and I really wish more answers were revealed in this book to balance out the almost repetitive events.

This is Indie and Sienna's debut series, and they keep knocking it out of the park. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.
I loved that we got Indiana, Maddox, Weston, Jagger, Jameson and Anonymous points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ends on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more! I can't wait for the final book in the series Retribution to be released on May 15, 2023.
I would highly recommend this series if you love dark romances, bully romances, reverse harems, or romantic suspense.

Absolution
the 3rd book in
Tainted by Ruin
series by Indie Black and Sienna Cousins picks off right from the cliffhanger ending in
Destroyed.
Hurtling down the continuous rollercoaster ride with continuing to follow along Indiana, Maddox, Weston, Jagger and Anonymous.
Indie and Sienna kept the story going through mystery, which was well alive and ongoing given all the many secrets still being alluded to, some of which were answered. But with more coming out of the woodworks through the ever growing suspenseful build up, it was like an abyss. Never ending, yet keeping you intrigued with holding on tight in hopes of picking up hints and clues to give you indication into the complex puzzle that continues to be the life of Indiana and her guys.
Whilst a majority of the narrative focused on the building of relationships old and new between Indiana and her guys. Especially when it came those relations she shared with Jameson, Weston and Jagger. Allowing to get an even more closer look into the growth and the direction it was heading towards. Of course one of those paths ended up paving the way to some very Hot and Spicy steam. Definitely needed to crack a window from the humidity that fogged up said windows.
The journey yet again took you down an emotionally charged path too, one full of angst with drama ensuing. All while navigating you through some dark twists and turns, paving the way for some expected and unexpected moments.
Even though in the previous books the narrative was never an issue, for some particular reason within Absolution it seemed to bother me a little.
Given the amount of more characters becoming more involved with being brought more forward than before, it made the narrative feel a little overwhelming and overloaded IMO.
Especially when you took into account of having to keep up with the mini side storylines being mentioned, besides the main plot.
It's what led to some of the chapters feeling a little unnecessary with the wordiness to it. Ultimately causing the story to feel like it was at a standstill at times (though a few of those times included the focus staying on the relationships), particularly the ones that mentioned the side characters and their side stories that IMO didn’t really feel relevant to the overall narrative.
There was a feeling of a sort of disconnect between them, as opposed to being linked together in someway, shape or form. At least in my view it felt that way.
However since there were still many questions yet to be answered, it could've been possible that Indie and Sienna had it that within those answers laid the connection to interlinking everything and bringing it altogether. Which means waiting for the finale to find out, something the duo love to do when it comes to leaving us hanging in anticipation.
But seeing as this was the 3rd book in the series, it just felt like there already should’ve been some sort of established link at this point. At least that’s how it felt IMO.
Indie and Sienna may have decided to take it a little easy with us, given the tamer cliffhanger Absolution delivered. But by no means did it mean they didn’t still leave you hanging once again.
The torture of waiting for the final book in Tainted by Ruin series maybe killer. And yet the duo still have me looking forward to it, so they can finally put me out of my misery with receiving all the answers and end cruel suffering that has been ongoing since the very beginning with Tarnished.

This is the third book in the Tainted by Ruin Series. This is however not the last book in the series and I know that might upset some people but I was glad that we are going to be getting more in this series. I so wasn't ready for this series to end. This is a Dark High School Romance. Don't let that scare you off because these characters don't really feel like a book about high school kids would fee. It also contains some scenes and subjects that could be triggering for some readers. Please heed the warning in the beginning of the book. You also need to read the first two books or you will be really lost. Those are Tarnished and Destroyed.
Good holy gosh. I don't even know that I know how to review this book as it just threw me for a loop and I think I left my heart back on the last page of Absolution. It also isn't very long into this book before your mind is blown and you just gosh need to experience that for yourselves. I can't even think of the words to accurately describe it. Secrets are revealed, emotions are flying all over the place and you can't leave out all the emotions flying all over the place. I think you too will have more questions than this but I did feel like we got a little deeper into the Anonymous person whoever this is. And yes you will not know. We all know that Indiana has really just had this life that is horrible in so many ways that just break my heart for her but I liked her finding herself again and she finds her voice to stand up for herself in this book and I really really loved seeing that come out of her. We see growth in her relationships and she really is growing through this series and it is a great things to see happen for her. She is a different Indiana than we met in Tarnished for sure. Her guys are all there and she is developing relationships and learning about their past and I loved experiencing that to. There is so much to love about this book but holy cliffhanger!!!! I can not wait to have the next book in my hands because I need answers and to be able to breathe normally again after that ending. Buckle up!!! You're really going to enjoy the ride.

This is the third book in the Tainted by Ruin Series. This is however not the last book in the series and I know that might upset some people but I was glad that we are going to be getting more in this series. I so wasn't ready for this series to end. This is a Dark High School Romance. Don't let that scare you off because these characters don't really feel like a book about high school kids would fee. It also contains some scenes and subjects that could be triggering for some readers. Please heed the warning in the beginning of the book. You also need to read the first two books or you will be really lost. Those are Tarnished and Destroyed.

Well crap, these authors never fail to amaze me with each book in this series.
We are left with more questions than answers and it just keeps getting more and more intense by the minute. Indiana has to continue watching her back but it continues to get more dangerous for her and her guys (Maddox, Jagger and Weston).

Absolution was everything I new it would be! Indie Black, Sienna Cousins?! Y’all Killed it. Stick a fork in it, it’s done. Anyone who loves Reverse Harem and or Dark Romance, the Tainted By Ruin Series is the one you need to check out. This series is very dark, and does have trigger warnings so be aware of that before reading. This is the 3rd book in the series and it can’t be read as a standalone. Indianas story is so heartbreaking! She goes through so much for a seventeen year old girl. I loved how we got more insight into the guys life’s and the POV of anonymous?! And Otis? Oh good lord, I love Otis. He’s so funny. I literally cannot wait for book 4! I hope it comes soon!

JFC just when I think this story can’t get any freaking crazier *enters* this freaking book!!! Indiana is such a bad A FMC you can’t help but love her and with everything she went through he!! Is still going through you want her to her her HEA but she is being out through that ringer to say the least! I love watching Indiana come into her own and start standing up for herself and fighting back I love how her relationships with the guys are growing into something even more amazing! There is so much happening in this book and picking up the clues and trying to figure out how they all come together or should I say who they all point back to. Everything about this series will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next shoe to drop . This book is dark and twisty with some oh so yummy scenes that will leave you breathless!! I cannot wait to see what happens in book 4!!!

Absolution, book 3 in the Tainted by Ruin series, picks up right where book 2 left off. This has been my favorite book in the series by far!
This series has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. You think the story is going one way, and then it swerves in another direction. Secrets and lies are constantly being revealed...and that cliffhanger! My jaw is still on the floor from that revelation.
Indiana, Weston, Maddox, and Jagger's relationship progresses, even through the trials and tribulations they are continually facing. Not to mention, Indiana has her sights set on someone else, and her boys are all on board with that. The more the merrier. And Indiana isn't the only one who has boys pining after her...I'm looking at you Jen!
After everything that was revealed, and the unknown questions still remaining, I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this book so much! It’s the third In the series and it picks up right where the second left off. We get to see more of Indiana’s growth as a character and also all the relationships change and grow stronger and new ones get introduced. This series has maintained the mystery element to it and continued in this book. Indiana is such a strong MFC and I’m excited to see how her story continues to change and get spicier. Her men are sexy alpha males who are loving and have a lot of depth and complexity to them. This story has witty banter, romance, spice, action, mystery and twists and turns. This book kept me engaged the whole time and I can’t wait till the next book to see what’s next. I highly recommend!!

Indiana has been through hell and back in her seventeen years and she has the scars to prove it, both physically and emotionally. There are so many twisted and scarred men in her life. Reading about the ones that love and worship her makes me so happy, everything that could challenge them and their relationship, happens and it makes amazing reading. Then there are the others, the ones that you hate with a passion, bt you also simply must read more to try and understand their evil. With a fantastic bunch of supporting characters, both good and bad, this series is just amazing. The twists and turns, the deaths and bodies mounting up, I really hope that this beautiful girl gets her happy ever after!

We explore more into the relationships between Indiana and her men and let me tell you, it’s got me wishing I had a harem for myself too (only slightly joking 🤣). These possessive men will get you all hot and bothered, and the moment they can finally be with Indiana in peace will be so sweet, that is if all the demons holding them back don’t ruin their happy ending. The conclusion to their story can’t come any sooner!

Absolution is everything I wanted and then some. It gave me answers I needed, left me with more questions and anxiously waiting to find out what happens next. I cannot wait for more. Indiana has endured so much but when more secrets are revealed I don't know how she's still standing. Tainted by Ruin is seriously one of all time favorite RH Series. It's twisted and dark and has some really amazing guys that I'm glad Indiana doesn't have choose just one. Although Maddox was my favorite since the beginning, but Jagger is slowly making his way to the number one spot! I love the relationship she has with her guys. She pulls on their strength when she needs it the most and they are there to prove to her she is no longer alone. Come on October I'm so ready for more.

What an emotional roller-coaster ride. Secrets are revealed that I did not see coming. More of Indiana's past is revealed and we find out more about Jameson and his story. I didn't think Brett could get any more psychotic but I was so wrong so very wrong. The relationship between Indiana and her guys gets more intense and hot. Otis is the light in this dark story. His one liners are classic. I was hooked from start to finish. The cliffhanger like WHAT THE HELL!!!!

An emotional rollercoaster with even more dark twists than the last!! There was so much going on in this one, left with so many more questions.
It was nice to receive more attention with Indiana, Maddox, Weston, and Jaggar. Weston has definitely came out of his shell in this one, and the possibility of a fourth one has surfaced, though I don’t necessarily agree with that option. And let’s not forget about the “stalker”, still a PITA.
Either way, I am excited to continue on with this ending! Indie and Sienna know how to write nail biting endings so I’m both scared and enthused!

Ok despite what it says in this blurb, it’s not the final book. The cliffhanger is a doozy. Seriously, I’m not ok. As we delve deeper and deeper into Indiana’s life, we get a glimpse into the anonymous man behind her. Who is he? We are led to believe that he’s a foe, especially with who he associates with. But after that cliffhanger, I have questions. There’s so much going on and it’s really hard to process it all and take it in. I cannot wait for book 4

The dialogue I love, the "freaky" steamy is fantastic!
Plenty dark and thrilling!
I daresay, like me, I think any reader will be hard-pressed to stop once started!
I knew it would be hard to leave this world, and this writing duo obviously had the same issue as we wait impatiently to see how this will finally unravel! So excited to find out!!!

Absolution is definitely one of my anticipated reads for the month. While we're getting an unexpected addition to the series, I'm not surprised this author duo pulled me even deeper into Indiana and her guys' journey. Their story continues to be one that hits you right in the feels. The steam is so dang good. I love these characters down to my soul! I can't wait for their story to come to a close and for them to reach ultimate closure and happiness. I just know it'll be worth it!

Wow! What an amazing read! Absolution is full of secrets, heartbreak and twists. We are given more of Indiana’s dark story. Secrets are revealed and we are given more clues about the mysterious “anonymous” character. We are left with a shocking cliffhanger that will leave you wanting the next book asap. This book right here.... This is book 3 in the series and what a book it is. I am almost at a lost for words for how good this was. I did not see all the twist and turns that happen in this one. I can wait until the last book is here. I need it NOW!!

Indiana story just keeps getting better. When you think you figured it nope twist. This book had tou on the end of the seat. And that cliffhanger omg. I wait for all the answers in book four.
