This book contains excellent criticisms of Kant, Schlegel, and Hegel. I found the writing on Nietzsche to fall short of the expectations I developed after reading the first three chapters. This is definitely worthy reading for both artists and students of philosophy. I also recommend Peter Berger's Theory of the Avant-Garde for students of philosophy.
