Lydia is one of Lucifer’s many daughters, but she’s more interested in playing with her hellhounds than she is in starting wars or famines or anything like that.
In short, her father views her as a colossal disappointment.
Her siblings do, too, teasing her constantly.
But Lydia knows who she is. She is the daughter of flames, and she will be who she wants to be.
Nicole Zoltack is a USA Today bestselling author who loves to write romances. Of course. She did marry her first kiss, after all!
When she’s not writing about knights, superheroes, or witches, she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, three energetic young boys, and precious baby girl. She enjoys riding horses (pretending they’re unicorns, of course!) and going to the PA Renaissance Faire dressed in garb. She’ll also read anything she can get her hands on. Her current favorite TV shows are The Walking Dead and Stranger Things.
Lydia is the youngest daughter of Lucifer ( she thinks), but her brothers and sisters tease her unmercifully about her being to “good” to be a demon. With her faithful hellhounds by her side she goes topside to Earth and finds out things aren’t always what they seem. 4⭐️’s for a good story, characters with traits that become them being their Daddy’s children and good world building for Hell and Earth, I hope there will be a book 2.
🧡🔥😈👢👢🐕🐕 An entertaining and original Fantasy/youth novel.
Lydia, 20, lives in Hell with her many sibling and dear daddy Lucifer. Lydia is the last born of the family.
Daddy gave her two pets : Hellhounds Demonfang and Shadeshomp. Lydia loves them !
To protect herself from their chewing, Lydia only has boots, which go up to the thighs. Ah ! If only her siblings would stop laughing at her !...

A great discovery for this rather funny story of the Underworld. It was with pleasure that I discovered the story of this original and endearing main character.
I liked the author’s writing style with welcome humor. Sometimes I got a little bored of Lydia’s long teenage monologues (but that’s part of her character).
This is the author’s first book that I read and I am very happy with it. I found the novel very entertaining and original. It did me a lot of good to read something funny, refreshing and original !
I recommend this read to Fantasy/youth fans.🧡 🔥😈👢👢🐕🐕
The youngest daughter of Satan, Lydia, “daughter of flames,” has decided that she might really need to figure out what she really wants out of her life. All of her current siblings are older than her, & able to show, & or tell anyone what they want out of their lives….what their callings are. Lydia knows that all of her oldest siblings died, after upsetting their father. But no one knows what will make Satan mad enough to kill them, but his anger is terrible to behold. He keeps calling her to come to see him, asking questions about a town Lydia doesn’t know about, & about things she has no answer for. If she’s not careful, she might piss him off enough that he’ll kill her. The only thing that might save her, is the city Bethlehem….
Interesting start to a new series. A paranormal fiction novel about Lucifer’s youngest child Lydia and her hell hounds. Lydia is just trying to find her place and discover who she is as a demoness. Very unique plot line with great characters. The plot line moved pretty well, but I had a hard time wading through the heavy inner monologue. I enjoyed the story, but I prefer more dialogue and interaction between characters with less inner monologue from the narrator.

The king of the underworld, Lucifer has a dozen children each representing one of the 7 sins or the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. All except the youngest, Lydia.
Lydia is a demon with a heart of light. This is the beginning of her story.
From someone who doesn't know her place, herself to someone who chooses to take control of her life & her path.
This is Lydia's journey and it is very interesting.

Daughter of Flames: A Mayhem of Magic World Story (A Girl and Her Hellhounds Book 1), my six read from author Nicole Zoltack and the first book of the Girl and Her Hellhounds series, caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the interactions between Lydia and her siblings very amusing, and I liked the part where they seemed like a normal family. I loved the plot, and I liked how Lydia was trying to find herself. She's a bit too optimistic and nice for my liking though, I definitely liked the siblings much more.

The 20-year-old, youngest Daughter of Lucifer just isn't evil enough. And, she acts and thinks like she's 13 or 14. Yet, she tries to solve the mystery of Bethlehem; no demon or magic may enter it!?! She and her 2 hell-hounds bounce between Hell and Earth while she keeps her internal dialogue in continuous insipid chatter. Basically, nothing happens through 80% of the book, and that is a far as I could get...
So the "king of underworld" has several children representing a sin or a horseman. His youngest daughter, Lydia, is a demon who gets made fun for by her siblings. The siblings are so fun and totally steal the book! It was intriguing to see Lydia find herself. She doesn't want to start any wars, famines or any other interests like that. So, why is she so different? Well, you will have to read to find out. Lydia finds out some things during her journey. Did I mention she has hellhounds?
Lydia is one of Lucifer’s many daughters, but she’s more interested in playing with her hellhounds than she is in starting wars or famines or anything like that. Lydia is different why is that ? And what mischief does she get up too. You will have to read on to find out. You will not be disappointed.
I continued to read this book to see where it would go. I guess I am a little harder on books that are written in the first person. The interaction between Lydia and her siblings remained a constant push/pull and this Lucifer is extremely manipulative and thoroughly evil.
Imagine being the daughter of Lucifer, one of his many daughters and then imagine that you are a disappointment to him! Well meet Lydia who is not interested in starting wars, who knows who she wants to be and this is her journey to discover herself and her powers. It’s exciting, it’s entertaining and i very much enjoyed it!
This was fascinating and exciting. Biggest best word to explain is WOW!! I loved the adventure and questions she had. I am hoping that they will be answered in the next book.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. I can't wait to see what will happen next for Lydia and her hellhounds since she declared war with her father Lucifer.
Thought this book was slow to start but once into it realised you had to really walk into this book rather than rush. Great stories great characters and look forward to the next book.
this book was good when it came to the characters and world building, I thought; However, it had too much of the main character telling her inner crap and not enough interactions between characters I thought. This book could have been great had that happened. It still was a good read just too much internal drama for me. I will still read the next books as I am hoping it gets better with the next one. I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Book Review: Daughter of Flames: A Mayhem of Magic World Story (A Girl and Her Hellhounds Book 1) Author: Nicole Zoltack My Rating: 5 Stars Reviewed by: Tammy
REVIEW Lydia is nothing at all like her siblings why is that? Yes, they each have different mothers due to Lucifer not being the nicest of men.
She knows she is more though, her power is different, she herself is and always has been different. When everything falls into place she begins to understand herself and what she needs to do.
