I liked this book but I was SO beyond annoyed with it. The hero was a arrogant pompous ass! He blackmailed the heroine and threatened to take their daughter away from her if she did not marry him. Then he invited his ex lover to the place where the heroine called home. He was throwing out orders left right and center. I wanted to kick him in the shins! When the heroine finally left him, I literally clapped my hands. When the hero finally got his crap together and realized her loved the heroine a ...more

The heroine was hard to like at first

I really didn't like her but by the end I did. She was a spoiled brat. The hero wasn't much better either. Inviting his old lover to dinner. Then thinking about how he would have the OW as his mistress, and stay married and how good the sex had been with her. I almost threw the kindle. I didn't though and persevered until the end. It was a good book just not great. I liked that he realized he loved her and he never touched the OW so that added a star to it bu

A hot passionate night...and a child.

Young innocent Carin realizes her one night with Rafe was just sex and he didn't care about her, so she decides to keep her child to herself. Even when family and friends apply the pressure she keeps the secret.

Until her life is a stake and her child could be parentless.

Rafe storms back into her life and takes it over with no mercy. Hard to like Rafe as he is so hard and merciless in claiming them both and the only softness he shows is to the baby. Carin on
Pretty good read, did not like the hero much..the blackmail here was actually quite scary (custody / captive in foreign country pretty nightmarish). I found her family's betrayal very offensive...not sure why she let's them get away with it. But great jealous scenes...heroine really does rub his nose in her prior relationship when he is hurtful. I did like how he recognized when he made a wrong move and apologized, and ultimately set her free. I didn't love the treacly and abrupt confessions of ...more

it is really wonderful how sometime men listen to their stupid logic and not their intuition? That is what Raphael Alvares is doing in this story, even when everything inside him shrieks that Carin is carrying his child.

Carin, like the usual frightened pregnant mother, fear for her baby thinking that Rafe should not have any participation in Amy's life, but as we all know, the happy ever after is inevitable.

Its mills and boons style romance so you know what you are getting, unplanned pregnancy, emotionally damaged hero, unable to love. When the heroine gets some back bone, she's great.

Man was the type that could not listen or see what was reality. Simple communication would have helped. Only came out the very very last in the book.

I've been a writer, one way or another, all my life. Before I could read, I made up poems and my mom wrote them down for me. In elementary school, my teachers almost always let me write poems or stories instead of requiring me to do art projects. Always, I dreamed of becoming a published writer...and that dream came true! I write novels about sexy, powerful men and independent-minded women, and wh
