The author is very knowledgeable and forward thinking, so the book is filled with great case studies and insights on the topic of data analytics for management who is looking for a broad overview. However, the organisation of the book was quite baffling at times. The first third of the book was focused on existing use cases which was a gentle introduction to why data analytics is essential to the modern businesses. Then came a section that seemed to target the data analysts themselves, instructing them on how to excel as a new breed of superhero in a commercial organisation. The last part was very futurist, proposing some radical ideas for the use of data analytics. All in all, the book is well researched and no doubt the author knows what he's talking about, but the material felt like they should have been at least two different books.
