This little book places side- by-side the comforting nighttime ritual of a very young baby and the similar goodnight rituals conducted by the animals on and around the family's farm, using quiet, soothingly drawn pictures to deepen the lull of the softly-worded text. The effect is very nice, especially in the comparison of the baby to a new, innocent lamb, and the expressed hopes of the baby's parents that their child, like the lamb, will continue to grow in goodness and kindness as he or she comes to meet the great big world.

Lovely watercolor farm animal illustrations to go along with the lullaby. Should make a great bedtime sleepy read for the toddler and under set.
