Homicide Sergeant Jack Bowden is stuck in a job he never wanted and doesn't like. He doesn't have a clue that his life can get worse. Senator Brian McKeon is found dead floating in his swimming pool and Jack is assigned to the case. He travels to Washington State to join up with the senator's daughter, Kathleen Mckeon who has hard evidence of corruption and treason in the highest levels of the federal government. They are attacked in her mountain home and flee across the country barely staying ahead of agency assassins. In just a short week he is witness to the special talents and abilities of the senator's daughter as they go head on against the professional killers. They share a dangerous adventure on their journey and share frustration at how slow romance develops between them.
Do not get this author confused with Robert Bailey who wrote Boomerang etc. THIS author’s book, The Senator’s Daughter is awful. SO many homophones: “her slender waste, he, two..,, the hotel sweet”. The grammatical and spelling errors are too many to mention. Zero depth of characters and storyline is dismal. And finally, the author should consult women regarding what, and how they enjoy sex. Do yourself a favor and read the OTHER Robert Bailey books. They are excellent.
While I loved the plot and conclusion, the poor editing of the book is both a distraction and a distraction. I am an editor so the errors scream at me.
This is unusual for Bailey's books. AI edited perhaps?
Wanted a good weekend read; found it in this st ok Ryan of good versus evil. I would really enjoy seeing where b this couple ends up if the author intends to write a sequel!
