Double Jeopardy

Rate this book
Ellie Landau couldn't pass up the invitation to a murder mystery weekend. It was even harder to pass up fellow player Jed Thorpe. Only Jed was the "killer," and Ellie wound up fighting for her life.

Back in the real world, Ellie was the management consultant for Cludds Haberdashers, a simple enough job until she realized that something was terribly wrong there—and that Jed was intimately involved. Then someone tried to kill her for real.

Ellie was in double jeopardy. Was she falling in love with the one man who could save her life—or end it?

Management consultant Ellie Landau gets invited to a murder mystery weekend on Raven’s Island (which is located off the coast of Massachusetts). While she is there participating in the game, she meets handsome Jed Thorpe and many other people connected to Cludds Haberdashers, a company who has recently hired Ellie to look into their declining business. But things become scary for Ellie when someone tries to kill her for real.

This was a very fun read. It was a lot like a Harlequin Intrigue. I was wondering who the culprit could be. Ellie and Jed made a good couple. Ellie was quite a gusty heroine. I liked the murky and mysterious setting on Raven’s Island.

An enjoyable Silhouette Special Edition from 1986.
