Tsukumizu (つくみず, a pseudonym, real name unknown) is a Japanese cartoonist.
They are best known for the manga series Girls' Last Tour (2014-2018), a slice-of-life in a post-apocalyptic setting, and Shimeji Simulation (2019-2024), a 'yonkoma' (four panel strip) surrealist comedy.

Good character-driven pay-off for the ending! Lots of cute monents between Shijima and Majime! I love their slice of life dynamic here—they finally feel like friends

6. Oh… So the hole was a metaphor for Ms Mogawa’s depression because of her expectations of conformity. Naurr

7. Surprisingly good ending to this arc that I thought was going nowhere LMAO it’s great to find a piece of media that gets better because its ending recorextualises everything!

The culmination of and coda to all the surreal story-making of Natsujikei and Igarashi Ran and Abe Youichi and Abe Tomomi and -occasionally- Dowman Sayman. And, at the same time, something completely different from anything that preceded it.

I'm not finding the words, so: Incredible. As in, it's hard to believe that it's real. I don't want to domesticate this into acceptable critique-sentences; I'm swept. I don't even know where Tsukumizu could go from here.

Girls last tour is probably my favorite mangá of all time, so it's probably not a surprise that I like this, but gosh, the art is STUNNING and it's so good. The message is great, and this genre of things - like I have been on a acid trip, but cool - are so my type of stuff.
