Meh. For someone who was just involuntarily outed, the main character sure is inconsiderate of her love interest's feelings on the same issue. Very abrupt ending.

I liked it, but felt that some parts of the book were too rushed and could have been expanded into several more chapters. Like with other reviewers I had an issue how lightly their outing was handled and dealt with, and felt these parts "odd" and too rushed. It could have been interesting to follow how Elena handled her family and how they handled her outing, unfortunately it was only covered in a 40 word sentence. Coming from a partial Catholic background myself, then I know the drama that follows when coming out to a religious parent, so couldn't help feeling a little cheated from the lack of it.

This is the 3rd book I have read by Erin Dutton, and felt that this was not as solid as the other books that I read by her. But I am not giving up on her and like her writing and her take on lesbian romance.

I completely erased my previous review after writing my full review on my site because I've had some more time to think about the book and let my feelings and impressions settle in.

I think 3 stars is a good rating for this book. It, honestly, was too short for the complex issues that the characters had to be resolved. Too much was left hanging, I think, for what was going on in the book.

Great overall story line with multiple coming out issues but unfortunately the impact of the complex outing issues on both characters was glossed over and really unsatisfactorily resolved.
Dealing with family fallout could have been handled more in-depth and surprisingly the book ended abruptly.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would be looking forward to a sequel that expands on the story-line and issues raised.

Very short (208 pages) romance from 2010. Made for a quick evening read. Tiernan O'Shea is a professional golfer and meets up with Elena Pilar a sports broadcaster at a Celebrity Pro Am golf tournament. I liked Elena's character but Tiernan was very one dimensional. Tiernan was very unsympathetic to the Elena's concerns and career. The story itself was okay but the abrupt ending lowered me to 2 stars.
