This is a really useful and insightful book. One minor disappointment: Daniel gives almost no time to the 4-2-3-1, treating it more as an odd quirk that shows up now and then as a variation on a more traditional formation. The book's nearly 20 years old, and that's the only part that feels dated to me, and there's too much good, clear content here to worry about that one element.
