The Higher Christian Life. Ed. By The Author Of 'Memorials Of Captain Hedley Vicars'
The Higher Christian Life. Ed. By The Author Of 'Memorials Of Captain Hedley Vicars' by William Edwin Boardman. This devotional work surveys the path of the Christian life toward the higher life, presenting Luther, Merle D'Aubigne, and a cloud of witnesses as models of the transition from conviction to full salvation by faith in Jesus. Drawing on biographical sketches and narratives, the book argues that justification by faith alone frees the soul, and that sanctification is a progressive life in which Christ is everything—our wisdom, sanctification, and redemption. It emphasizes a two-fold faith that both trusts in and yields to Christ, taking all he offers and giving all to him, and it urges believers to abide in Jesus, to press for spiritual maturity, and to witness to others the power of living by faith.

Have come to most of the conclusions that are discussed in the book, but it added to what I know and gave me some new perspectives. It especially brought to light "abiding in Him" more than I had ever considered.

A wonderful book!
Santification (1.Cor.1,30; 1.Thess.4,3) and the fullness of the Holy Spirit explained and proven by many sweet testimonies. If all born again believers found this life of fullness (John 10:10) the whole world would get changed and praise the Lord Jesus!
