A little patronising and assuming for example demanding we go on a walk in the rain or snow, no matter how bad we feel that day. Cold weather makes my pain ridiculous. But the book does go through each way of pain management and how it should be applied, which is interesting and helpful.

I have read this book before and I always want it to be just a bit better....it is slightly dated, but it offers some good, straightforward advice. Other times it just reveals how little the author truly knows about pain.
