Wow, this is fantastic! If you want your children to learn the facts about the Pilgrim's first settlement, read this! Rather than writing their own text, Connie and Peter Roop share the Pilgrim's own words, actual diary and journal excerpts, about what took place over three hundred years ago. I'm so glad someone did this! There's a book entitled, Pilgrim Adventure, that I recommend to everyone because it does the same thing, it presents history from the eye-witness accounts we have. The primary sources the authors drew from were Mourt’s Relation and Of Plymouth Plantation, sources authored by Edward Winslow and William Bradford.
