A great book of legends from the 40s and 50s telling how the NFL was in their time in their own words. They all have some fun stories and really show you how different it was in that era.

Highly recommended if you have any interest in this era of the NFL.

Much like "The Game That Was", a lot of fun reading about the early years of pro football. This time perspectives go beyond the players to referees and administrators, giving a glimpse of every aspect of the game in its infancy.
