Setting out from Vampire Mountain, Darren embarks on a mission as part of an elite quartet sent to find the Vampanese Lord. Along their journey, though, they are imparted an ominous prophecy: "...If you have face the Vampaneze Lord four times and fail to kill him, only one of you will live to witness the fall of the vampire clan."

Mr. Haraket is one of Darren guardian. Because Mr. haraket always say hoe to stay and how to behave well. Sometimes Darren get confused and sometimes he don’t understand what Mr . Haraket is doing. So sometime he ask Mr. Haraket what he is doing but he usually answer but when its incase me Haraket doesn’t answer Darren. Sometimes Darren and Mr. Haraket talk about funny things and sometime they two do nonsense things. They also go to the mountains and the halls. Actually Mr. Haraket is a good person. At last Darren met Evanna and he finds out the thing that he want to know together with Evanna. And a guy Mr. Crepslesy who is kind of helping guy for Darren and Evannna. I would recommend people who like to read about vampire and action. This book has a lot other book this is book 7th book there is like 8 book.
I'm not a big fan of stories jumping ahead by years even in between books, but it does work fairly well with this series. Of course, reading the manga is inevitably different than reading the book version. I don't know what got left out in order to make the gist of the book fit into the pages of the manga. Unfortunately, one of the reasons that jumping ahead works for me is that I'm not as attached to or invested in the characters. I like them and I'm interested to know what happens to them, but I don't feel like I'm missing something by skipping so many years at a time. This book starts 6 years after the start of the war and Darren's becoming a prince. The use of puppets to tell the back story is a really neat technique. There's no sex and not much if any language, but there is a fairly intense fight scene where someone loses a body part. SPOILERS I really hate Mr. Tiny, every time he shows up something awful happens. I also hate how fixed he makes the future seem. I believe that every choice opens and closes possibilities, but anyone who could see all those possibilities would be seriously cracked. Mr. Tiny is definitely insane, but he also seems too capable of driving things toward the direction he wants. I was very glad to finally see Darren looking older (and having his hair back...). It's just very hard for me to see such a young looking character in the situations Darren goes through. I realize that he is actually much older, but he looked like a young child. This probably wouldn't bother me as much in the text version because I wouldn't be constantly reminded of it (at least he's not one of those creepy ghost/vampire/zombie children you get in some visual media). Finally, I haven't read the books (or seen the movie) and this is as far as I have read in the manga, but I have a feeling I know who the Vampaneze Lord is and I'm not sure I like the idea.
This book is full of adventure and excitement. I really like how Darren finally aged and turning in to a full fledge vampire but I would rather him stay as a half vampire because i wanted him to be able to stay out in the sun and walk along side humans. It's amazing how fast Darren matured throughout the series because he was just another kid who liked spiders and didn't want to be a vampire about 6 books ago and after understanding the responsibilities and hardships of being a vampire like cutting off ties with the human world because the two species will never be able to live together, in to a person who accepts his fate. Darren even accepted the fact that he will have to battle the vampanze lord soon with bravery even though everyone else is afraid of the lord. I liked how Darren finally revisits the circus where all his friends are. I missed everyone when they were younger because their lives used to be so carefree. i'm really excited for the next edition of this series
i have previously read the novel version of Hunters of the Dusk and i now saw the character depiction of this author. i was surprised by the way he made Vancha because i felt he would be more cooler and leaner, not so much as looking like Blanca (street fighter reference). also on page 168, i saw a picture of Paris who is one of the chief princes of the Vampire looked like the Norse God Odin the wanderer. i am not sure why the author made this reference but it most likely was a reference of authority. but one character i felt came to the most surprise but i was pleased to see was that the author made Mr. Tiny very sycophantic with a very twisted smile and different ways of approving a situation. if he was ever angry he never showed it. i hope to see him later on when i complete the series to see how much the author changed about him cause i do know things get more stressful for Mr. Tiny
I'm glad to see Darren grew a little bit... though the way that happened was really random and strange. But oh well.
We get to meet the 5th vampire prince in this volume, and he's a bunch of fun. Also, and interesting sorceress named Evanna, and the vampanese king or whatever he's called makes a semi appearance. And don't forget the triumphant return of the creepy and uber mysterious Mr. Tiny.
All in all this was a pretty good volume. I'm curious to see how it is all going to go down.
In this book, we have our protagonist, joined by Larten and Vancha, a new character, go on a hunt for the vampaneze lord. They also meet Lady Evanna, a character created by Desmond tiny that can produce vampire babies. They encounter the vampaneze lord, fail to kill him, and such. As usual, the book was great!
This "Cirque Du Freak: Hunters of the Dusk" book by Darren Shan is about vampires' mission that they have to accomplish before everything in their place will be on danger. But, they just did not do this by themselves. Someone helped them so that the task is easier and they don't struggle a lot. The name of the person who helped them is Lady Evanna. She is a witch of the Cirque Du Freak. She is a very helpful person that's why she wanna help those vampires (Mr. Crepsley, Darren, Vancha, and Harkat- The Little Person). However, the only mission that they are going to do is to find the Vampaneze Lord (leader of their enemy). Moreover, the purpose of this mission is if they already found the Vampaneze Lord, they will help each other killing him. They are going to kill him because if they don't, then the nightmare from him will keep going. He will destroy all of the vampires' places and get their strength. When he got everything he wanted, he will be the most powerful and strongest man in the place. So the Vampire Princes won't let that happen. That's why they have to go immediately to stop him. To me, it seems obvious that they can't defeat the Vampaneze Lord that fast because even though he is not the most powerful man yet, he is still stronger than them that's why one of the parts that says in the story, there's one time they failed killing him. Now, talking about the book, I rated this five stars because I really liked it. I really liked it because for me, it's interesting to know how a person feels during traveling like Darren and others adventured going to the place of the Vampaneze Lord. Lastly, if you like reading horror fiction mixed with young adult fiction, I recommend you should read this kind of book. You don't know how good the story was.

Darren is now a vampire prince but the peace he’s experienced is about to end as Mr. Tiny arrives with the news that the Vampaneze Lord has been found.
Thus Darren, Crepsley and Harkat go on the hunt, for both the Lord and the third vampire hunter. Many familiar faces return for a heartwarming reunion. You forget the passage of time when you’re reading from a vampire’s perspective.
Honestly, meeting the third hunter, it’s obvious he’s supposed to replace Gavner as the rough but lovable character. Knowing that, I can’t say that I love him as much as I could.
We’re over half way through the series and still no Steve! He has to show up again soon!
This series has 12 volumes and is based on the Darren Shan novel series Cirque du Freak.
The hunt for the lord of vampires begins with a foreboding prophecy that could mean the end to one of the four hunters - including Darren! "Hunters of the Dusk" is an entertainingly strange and dark read that gives fans all the action and suspense they could hope for. Arai shines with continually alluring artwork as Shan dwells deeper into the fantastic world of "Cirque Du Freak"!
Not very good at all, and the story isn't even complete. Normally in a series like this you get at least a complete story within a longer narrative, but this just ends with no conclusion at all. I know it is a young adult book, but it is not very well written and is overall very hokey.
I thought it was gonna be scary, but it was not, it was crap. It is about vampires and they are looking for this dude who is trying to kill all vampires. Campbell
Adventure all the way, its so cool and awesome, I love it, plus with the new prince all around he is so sexy looking, I agree with one of the comments that Vancha is Bae ♥
The pace has picked up, giving us a lot more action and tension. Loving the character drawings of Vancha and Lady Evanna. True to the source material while adding a bit of a twist to it!
It’s been a few years since I read the previous six manga versions of Darren Shan’s books. It is interesting to see how Arai has taken a story I know so well and converted it into a manga. I think that it is done really well; most of the dialogue seems to be taken straight from the book. There are a few noticeable changes, but they are understandable in that some things will have had to have been cut out as a manga is shorter than a book. It is also interesting to see how Arai has drawn the characters, as everyone will imagine them differently. In my opinion he has done a good job of giving faces to the characters. In the guide to the volume at the end Arai notes that he found the drawing of Evanna to be particularly difficult until Shan gave him some tips. The result is horrid, but that’s the point. Even so I can’t say that I like the way she’s drawn, but I can appreciate how well it matches Shan’s description of her in the book, right down to the extra-long finger nails. The only character whose image in the manga I don’t like is that of Mr. Tiny. He looks really creepy and weird, which again is probably the point; however I always imagined him a bit smarter. I always forget that so much time passes in-between the books, especially as Darren barely ages. Volume 7 is set six years after Volume 6, during which Darren has remained in the mountain taking on the duties of a Vampire Prince and he even retook the trials. I think that Arai has done a good job with this volume.
Another amazing novel! Loved meeting Vancha and learning more about Harkat! This is such a great series. I'd definitely recommend anything written by Darren Shan!
this is my favorite series ever! this vol. was just as interesting as the first six. i love how Darren, Harkett, and Mr. Crepsly always have an exciting adventure. Darren was a vampire prince for fourteen years and is about to lead the vampires into a major battle with the vampaneze (blood thirsty, huge, purple, serial killer vampires). Darren, Mr. Crepsly, and Harkett have already missed the first three chances that Mr. Tiny (creepy phsychic dude) told them they would have to kill the vampaneze lord before he takes over. will they suceed and be able to live in harmony as vampires and vampaneze?, or will the vampires go into extinction from the vampaneze lord? find out in volume eight!
Whoa! Things are really picking up, and I'm eager to see when Darren finally learns who the Vampaneze Lord is (CURSE YOU MOVIE FOR SPOILING THAT! My friends were pissed it spoiled me and now I'm annoyed too). I enjoyed seeing Darren's growth, mental, emotional, and... Physical? That was unexpected! I loved the new characters, and seeing the war playing out, though I wish we saw more of the actual war. It's similar to Hunger Games with the MC being the only voice, and not always being the best voice to see the whole world. And yet, so addicting! Love Darren!

Darren wanted to find the vampaneze lord and kill him to prevent vampire extinction. But, he is very hard to find and will be protected by many vampanezes and vampets. So, Darren, Mr. Crepsley and Vancha go out and start hunting for the vampaneze lord. Then, the three men has managed to get into a position where they had a huge opportunity to kill him. To find out, read Cirque du Freak, Hunters of the Dusk. Hunters of the Dusk is a book about perseverance, loyalty and hope.
This book is about Darren, Mr. Crepsley, and Harkat hunting the vampaneze lord. Before they hunt him down they go to a sorceress that let them go and fight the second in command vampaneze. I would recommend this book to all boys and girls that like vampires and heart racing action.
So I re read this manga yesterday. It was really amazing you can see the plot is on first step to its ending. a Shicking thrilling action packed installment.
