I received a copy of this book from the author.
This is the second book in the “Norakian Warrior Series” and it just gets better the further on you read.
The forces of evil are all around and Kenzo (a human) swears vengeance on the ones who tortured and killed his brothers – both familial and military – and also tortured him leaving him with both physical and mental scars.
With his pet Jeeto (who is also, unknown to him, his guardian) he is now working as a bounty hunter. Kenzo is chasing down Brock, a drugs dealer, when he hears a child screaming. This is not something that he can walk away from and he rescues the child only to be faced with a warrior star being who thinks that he has abducted the child for his own evil intentions.
This warrior is Aleeya who Kenzo must first escape from and then learn to work together with in order to try to put an end to some of the evil forces at work on Terrakado.
Calla Zae has woven a spellbinding story with a powerful message of how good can overcome the powers of darkness for the good of all.
All the time there is a gentle romance blossoming between Aleeya and Kenzo.

3.5 stars. Both the male and female lead, Kenzo and Aleeya, have been through significant historical trauma that has shaped and guided their choices in noticeable ways. As they work to chase down a mysterious enemy attempting to convert people into mindless minions, their relationship grows and develops, and they let down their mental and emotional barriers for each other.

The story is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, highly spiritual read.

Aleeya is a warrior searching her past. Kenzo is human fighting his own demons.If these two pair up, can they help each other.
The journey is one that on their own they probably wouldn't have been able to survive. Are two heads better than one. And can they afford to listen to their hearts.

Book two of the Norakian Warriors series is about Aleeya – a female warrior who is both brave and intelligent. Abandoned at an orphanage as a young child, Aleeya has had to make her own family – her fellow warriors. She has trust issues in regard to men, but she’s a warrior, she can guard her own heart. The men she choses to date certainly don’t touch her heart. But she is not heartless. Seeing children in danger spurs her into action, and she will do whatever it takes to save them.

Kenzo is a human man kidnapped and stolen from earth – and the sole survivor of a terrible pain – the loss of his entire unit. He is filled with blame and guilt. Why was he the one to survive? It gives him a desperate need to save others and meet out revenge on the man (and the company) responsible for his circumstances.

This is a love story that brings Aleeya and Kenzo together and by the power of the moon – Yarra – their destinies are entwined. Both are strong, stubborn and brave, and they will do what ever it takes to save the children, the planet and the universe and maybe even each other.

There is a fabulous talking pet named Jeeto who is simply so much fun to read and several familiar characters from book one return to guide Aleeya and Kenzo toward the light. What is love and what does it really mean? This book is a fun exploration of that and more.

Another fabulous action packed scifi romance from Calla Zae. This is book two of the Norakian Warriors series.

This is a great story but not a quick-read. There is a lot going on and to be able to enjoy the book properly you need to be aware. I feel that I need to say this so that the story is really appreciated for what it is and not discounted because there is quite a bit of complexity to it. Aleeya is a warrior who is trying to set right all the wrongs in her past by making sure that no other child goes through what she did. Kenzo is a human trying to make his way in the alien world but against his past has his fighting to ensure that others do not feel the pain he did. Without giving it all away they are pretty much meant for each other but they have a huge battle to fight first to get the chance to decide if they will allow themselves the luxury of love at the end of it.

This story has a great adventure to it. Aleeya is a female warrior searching for her past. She meets a human bounty hunter, Kenzo, but he can't let his feeling for her sway him from the revenge for his brother's killer. Will Kenzo work with Aleeya to stop the lawlessness on Terakado? Better and Better! Integrity is not known but Aleeya has it in spades with a heart of gold. Not what you would usually have with the way she was raised. Kenzo knows what it is like to be in despair and with him Aleeya knows that he is the key to her salvation! This was a remarkable story and this just gets better with every book!

Aleeya is a warrior and Kenzo is a bounty hunter and they might work together to stop the wrongdoings on Terrakado. This was a fun read with Aleeya and Kenzo working to together to save the day and falling in love in the process.

Aleeya and Kenzo are both strong characters who manage to overcome their hang-ups to find love together. There is something very satisfying about an HEA when the obstacles to overcome are huge.
