Four members of 1st Marine Recon are sent on a mission into North Vietnam to rescue two Marine F-4 Phantom pilots shot down while bombing anti-aircraft positions on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Along the way, they discover a dangerous threat to South Vietnam and to Americans who are fighting there. Heavily outnumber and carrying one of the wounded pilots on a litter, the Marines try to escape and evade enemy forces that are closing in on them.

I just love this series about a Marine Recon Sgt two feathers and his dog Rommel The books are real and enjoy them very much. I hope there is another after this one!!!!!
