Waikiki vampires Tem and Jimmy Thunder are happily undead and married, about to celebrate Christmas when their cat Moontime brings an unusual treasure to the door…a baby in a box. But this is no cute, cuddly kid. It’s a demon baby with red eyes and razor sharp teeth. Jimmy, hopelessly besotted with his hot and sexy husband, sees his new life of man-on-man fun being wrecked by this snarling, spitting, forked-tongued little incubus that has apparently won Tem’s heart.
With half of Waikiki’s wacky residents coming to Christmas dinner, what’s a devoted husband to do? Jimmy calls in all kinds of favors to figure out who the kid is, how he got here…and how to ensure this will be a merry, not marred Vampire Christmas.
A.J. Llewellyn lives in California, but dreams of living in Hawaii. Frequent trips to all the islands, bags of Kona coffee in the fridge and a healthy collection of Hawaiian records keep this writer refueled.
A.J’s passion for the islands led to writing a play about the last ruling monarch of Hawaii, Queen Lili’uokalani as well as a non-erotic novel about the overthrow of her kingdom written in diary form from her maid’s point of view.
A.J. never lacks inspiritation for male/male erotic romances and on the rare occasion this happens, pursues other passions such as collecting books on Hawaiiana, surfing and spending time with friends and animal companions.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! HOT EROTICA! HILARIOUSLY FUNNY!
I absolutely loved this book. Tem and Div crack me up. When a baby turns up on their door step that their cat Moontime drags up Tem automatically wants to keep it. The baby is ugly as shit with the demon look of red eyes, clawed hands, sharp little teeth, and pointed ears.
I loved Tem and Todah's parents especially their mother - the little nosie bitch. There were several parts that had me laughing out loud like the part where Div is supose to give Tem's mom one of her presents but Div gives her a present alright - one with chocolate candies in it - which turned out to be the wrong present for her - the present was supose to be for Kalani and Clancy because the chocolate had viagra for women in it - which Tem's mom and his aunts ate that left funny conversations for example - Tem's mom cracked me up saying: "God, I'm so horny, the doorknobs are starting to look good."
The other characters Kalani and Clancy; Blossom and her cohorts Yi and Yin were awesome.
After all the time everyone tried to figure out where the baby came from they finally learn it is Tadahs and Elenai's - I absolutely loved the ending.
'A Vampire Christmas' is book two in the fantastically funny and exciting 'Vampire in Waikiki' series by A.J. Llewellyn. I love these books because I truly adore the main characters of Jimmy and Tem, and the author always manages to write an interesting and exciting story interspersed with wonderful historical facts. Oh, and the sex ain't bad, either. *smirk*
The story begins with Jimmy and Tem finding a demon baby that their cat, Moontime, dragged home on Christmas Day. I pretty much knew I was in for a treat at that point. Tem, of course, takes one look at the devil spawn and declares he's madly in love and can they adopt him? HA! Tem names him Beelzebub and, considering that in less than twelve hours they have a houseful of people coming for Christmas dinner, it's no wonder Tem starts to freak out. It probably doesn't help that Kalani, Clancy, and Todah all exclaim about how ugly the kid is.
I read this book out of order in the series, mainly because I wanted to read about the demon baby. Now, I can't wait to go back and read the first book, as the characters of Tem and Div just enchanted me. Tem, big, bad and beautiful, with a penchant for tiaras and jewelry? Div, staring at cleavage, yet completely enamoured with his husband? Perfect. I love the contrast between how domestic they are while facing vampire and demon issues. The vampire queen, Blossom, is also a study on contrasts - a drug abuser turning away from her nature to protect others. And her boys (who are not related) are sexy and sweet. I enjoyed all the characters, and now I'll read to find out how it all started.
I was happy to see Jimmy (or Divine as his real name is) and Tem hook up at the end of the first book. Div in fact is married to Clancy, his Australian former girlfriend (and musician) who is in the romantic partner of Div's sister. Urged by tem, Div has married Clancy to help her with immigrartion problems. Both couples live in the house so there's no problem there. The dynamic vampire duo plan a Christmas celebration which goes awry from the momnent they awaken and find a demon baby on the doorstep. I laughed at out jealous and grumpy Div got and how quickly entranced Tem became with the forked-tongue little fella. This is about the most chaotic Christmas you'll ever experience and also the most endearing. I love that Div and Tem want to have a normal life - and still manage to have some smokin' sex - even when the baby's father soon becomes apparent and it should all be a catastrophe. I loved Clancy playing a funeral dirge for the baby monster to stop him from crying. This is a really good follow-up to the original.
Review A quick short read, nice to see things progressing well with Tem and Jimmy/Div. A real comedy of errors Christmas tale. Tem and the little devil :P were hilarious and seeing how Jimmy/Div got so jealous of anything and anyone that takes Tem’s focus off of him was fun. Really enjoyed this story!
This is the short, funny, kinda bizarre and very steamy next installment in the Vampire in Waikiki series.
Tem finds a cursed baby and wants to keep it and name it George… ok not George but Beezlebub. Div is worried about raising a baby and losing some of Tem’s attention. But it becomes clear that the baby needs their help so they enlist the help of some more of their strange acquaintances and… hilarity ensues.
Interspersed with the hilarity is all the way-hot-vampire-porn-star-sex and it’s both sweet and raucous.
If you enjoyed book one in the series you will want to keep going. This is better (in my opinion) than book one as it seems to have found more focus and since the characters are already developed we get to simply enjoy them.
One part feel-good love story, one part cute family holiday, and three parts oh-my-god-what-is-wrong-with-that-child...
While Div and Tem remained sweet and cute and in love throughout the story, the screeching demon child made for a good conflict without breaking the hearts of the established relationship. I enjoyed the resolution, Blossom's struggle, and meeting the non-vampire side of the family.
I really enjoyed the first volume, so I was delighted when I saw that "A Vampire for Christmas" was available as an audiobook. I loved meeting Jimmy and Tem, the two main protagonists, again and they took my heart by storm here too. The two of them continue to develop, which is no wonder given what happens to them just before Christmas. The story is amusing, interesting, exciting and entertaining if you like vampire stories. Her cat brings home a demon baby and Tem has a very big heart and wants to adopt the baby without further ado. But the new parents are expecting quite a few guests for Christmas dinner the next day. But how are they supposed to juggle everything? This Christmas story is short, which is why I listened to it in one go. Michael Dean reads it in a very entertaining way with his pleasant voice. He is a fantastic narrator who brings the story wonderfully to life.
Short and funny sequel to Vampire in Waikiki. I loved it. So funny. Jimmy, Tem and family are having Christmas with an addition of a demon baby. I think Tem is the only one that does not see an ugly demon, he falls for the baby. OMG, if you have read the first you need to read this. Makes me want a demon baby, NOT. Lol. Kalani, did you just say that my baby is ugly?” he huffed. Todah glanced from his brother to my sister and back again. “This is your baby? Is this another family curse? I mean…geez…he’s one ugly little…”
I swore off Llewellyn after reading a novel I absolutely despised because of abuse. The least I can say is that the characters, for all their faults, aren't total assholes into cheating and coercive sex. That's how low the bar is. Some of the things that are still true is a heavy focus on sex and Hawaiian culture and history. Llewellyn has his jam for sure. The comedy was okay? Like, I'd love to think Llewellyn is writing about porn stars the way porn is written, but that would require some self awareness.
LOL, I love that line. This is book 2 in the Vampire in Waikiki series by AJ Llewellyn. It was narrated by Michael Dean who of course did an excellent job.
This was such a quick fun listen. This was the first Christmas for the newly mated vampires Tem and Jimmy (Div) and of course nothing goes smoothly. Look what the cat dragged up 😲!!!
Hot chocolate candies, a baby, a tiara, lots of hawt sexy times
Ok, I re-read Vampire in Waikiki and I just had to find out what happens next to our ex-porn stars turned vampire family. And what can be crazier than their cat Moonshine bring home a basket containing a demon baby on Christmas Eve. Yup, this is one crazy vampire Christmas story!
The first book in this series was super hot. This one is hot too but it’s also kind of cute. A demon baby that turns out to be more than expected. I really enjoyed listening to this! Another great performance by Michael Dean.
I had a great time catching up with Tem and Jimmy in this holiday novella which brings their families and friends together, as well as a demon baby left on their doorstep. The bulk of the story involves trying to find out the baby’s origins and how to care for it, and it’s definitely a wild ride for a bit there, but always fun and supportive of Tem and Jimmy’s bond. Don’t want to give too much away, but if you enjoyed their main story, this is a very enjoyable coda, and you can’t go wrong with Michael Dean at the narrating helm.
Tem and Div Thunder are former gay porn stars that have decided to get married and leave that life behind. A Vampire Christmas is their first Christmas together as a family. What occurs is a comedy of errors. No matter what Tem does, this first Christmas is destined to be a challenge. With a cast of characters like a vampire lothario, unsuspecting lush in-laws, porn co-stars and a fork tongued demon baby as house guests for the holidays, the last thing these two need is an ancient evil roaming their idyllic Waikiki, but they make do. This entertaining cast of characters is portrayed in a manner that is over the top as only leather clad clothing designer gay men can be, which made this more of a comedic read than a romance. For humor and the unique characters alone, this is a must read novella for a laugh.
