Boo A Life in Baseball, Well Lived

Rate this book
“Few in baseball have had their hearts broken and dreams dashed so suddenly as Boo Ferriss six decades ago. Far fewer still have gone on to enrich the sport, and the world around them so much or with such grace.” Rick Cleveland, columnist for The Clarion-Ledger and author of A Life in Baseball, Well-Lived penned those words about Mississippi icon Boo Ferriss. In A Life in Baseball, Well-Lived, the life of Boo Ferriss and his impact on the sport he loves is chronicled by Mississppi’s premier sportswriter Rick Cleveland, and includes a foreword by best-selling author John Grisham.

Boo Ferriss was truly an amazing man, both as an outstanding MLB pitcher (and batter!), and as a long-time college baseball coach.
This book was a delight to read.

Of course I had heard of Boo Ferriss, but felt like I got to know him through this book.
