When thirtysomething celebrity journalist Gwendolyn Taylor inherits an antebellum manor — Bon Temps — in Louisiana Cajun country, she decides to leave the hustle and bustle of Boston for the picturesque bayou. Shiloh and Gwendolyn when it's right, it's right
It's always nice to find a gem of a story. That's what Rochelle provides with A Time to Keep. It's important to let nature flow and not seek to direct your own path. It is in those spontaneous moments that magic happens. That's what you find with Gwendolyn. Once she let go and released her check list. Endless possibilities arise. Shiloh overcome his past unleashed what was needed to truly do life with Gwendolyn. Loved Momma Moriah and her energy. But more importantly the supportive family dynamics that helped Gwen see that it was ok to live in the moment.
What was an interesting aspect of the story is the unsolved murder. You'll be intrigued to watch the subplot unfold.

This author, wordsmith, novelist definitely knows how to entangle and amaze me. I have enjoyed her art since reading, "A Younger Man" The series, "Innkeepers", " Eaton", "Cavanaugh Island" to name a few favorites. She gives history, recipes and ancestry in her books.
I am happy that I took the time to read and enjoy this book. The mystery and suspense of the prom queen murder and various themes throughout the book shows her versatile style.
What a way to end this work. (She never knew that when she skidded off the road and into a ditch that she would meet and fall in love with the sexiest lawman in Southern Louisiana.)

I love this book. I was so into it that I kept falling asleep to this fairytale. Kinda wish I had a Shiloh myself. I enjoyed their love story.

Suspense, romance, and danger! Loved it from beginning to end. Gwen definitely met her match with Shiloh they were both stubborn.
