This book was actually a Christmas gift from my cat. I thought maybe I should actually read it so she would stop her whining about me not "understanding" her. Plus I figured it might help our relationship and bump me up a couple notches.

I did actually learn a few things, some of which I've put into practice in order to make her life even more cushy than it already is. God forbid she feel any stress or discomfort on my behalf. I have to admit I do like that cat. I can't help it... even though she's constantly doing mean things to me. At least now I know how to read her subtle signs of impending wrath. Anyway, this wasn't the highest quality book I've ever seen, but then again, it was in the "bargain bin."

Excellent beginner friendly book discussing a number of important factors that can be overlooked when adopting a cat. I'm especially wary now of ensuring dear Fred is stressed as little as possible by changes in environment. I will take good care of you but please don't pee on my couch!

A great big shiny cat book. I do like cat books and I'm particularly fond of this one because it combines gorgeous and adorable pictures with useful information. Also, I'm quite certain that Baby's parents were both feral cats. I'm also hoping that Baby had actually been abandoned by his mother. The idea of her coming back from hunting to find her babies all gone is heartbreaking. Given that they were a few days old and still covered in placenta suggests that they were abandoned.

Pretty pictures, useful information, pretty pictures...

Wonderful insight into the mind and behaviour of a cat. Extremely detailed information with beautiful photography. Hopefully this will prepare me for a kitten of my own someday!
