Matdan Kendra Par Jhapaki

Herds move, stats grow.

However, there is something more than just numbers that connects those herds or groups. That essence which flows through them, a common connect, like the blood in the big body-vessel of those herds, is what is talked about mostly, in this collection of poems.

Deeply reflective and symbolical. And oh my, Kedar ji has said so much in so less words that I feel he is the best of traders in the economics of literature. Efficient.

The way "Khoon" reached out to me, has changed my perspective a lot. One poem. One poem? Dear god, I live and strive and struggle for 24 years and all it takes is one poem to make me understand? Funnily disrespectful to my life. Anyway.

"Use Yaad Nahin" will be there in my heart for a long time. Probably till the heart remains the heart. When it's just a muscle, the poem will still be crawling upon its surface. That day, when Yamraj takes me, he'll take Kedarnath Singh once again. With me.

This collection has gone through my skin and bones. An operation, a surgery. I survived.
