When my company moved us over to Windows 7 from Windows XP, I felt a little lost. So, I went to my local Borders to find a helpful guide.
There were several different books to choose from, but this one stood out to me as the broadest-reaching and least-biased of them all.
I enjoyed the tone that Woody brought to the book and his honesty about different parts of Windows and Microsoft. It is meant more as a reference guide than a reader, but I decided to read it straight through anyway - just so I would have an idea of everything in there. As such, it took me a long time to get through it all since I would just read little bits here and there.
However, I found it helpful and informative - and it didn't make me feel like a dummy.
It was definitely worth the cost and the time.
